I'm not 100% sure and I wasn't there. But from what I've gathered perusing social media today is McCarls we're doing McCarl things and Lynton Jeffrey ended up with a black eye for his troubles. Like I said, it's just what I've pieced together from social media so it's far from gospel.

That's not good, I saw a video and couldn't figure out what the deal was. From what I saw from Flo Lynton was running up front most of the race....Lynton seems like a very good guy.

Papa McCarl freaked the f&@k out on Lynton after Papa rubbed him after the checkers so Lynton drove over Papa's front end. Papa came charging out of his car and totally cheap-shotted Lynton with a serious finger gouge to the eyes. Enough to draw serious blood from the eye. This has a recurring theme as Papa has made a habit of getting physical with many others over the years at Husets. Back when he drove the 7x for his dad Lenard, Papa assaulted an official. Terry's temper is his worst attribute along with his cheap shots when it gets physical. Not denying his talent, but when is enough, enough?

Totally agree....Terry is either being the worlds greatest showman when it's all going well, or his temper is getting the best of him when its not going well. I'll not forget in the 90's, three weeks in a row he had spun or made contact with Kenny Hansen at Husets. Now Kenny was one helluva racer at the joint where he was better known as "One of the boys from Nunda". you could classify Kenny as The Quiet Outlaw, quiet in demeano, but he talked at full decimal value with his foot on the loud pedal. Well after three weeks of punk-ass McCarl moves, The Quiet Outlaw had had enough, climbed from his black 3 with his steering wheel in hand and took after Terry with it. It took a lot for Kenny's FU button to be pushed, but after three weeks Terry had pushed it pretty hard. No arguing Terrys done a lot for the sport, but his BS is sometimes hard to take.

The East side tough guy bit is played out. In the video he looked real tough till Lynton got out of the car then he kinda just wanted to get out of there.

That 7x is one of the most beautiful sprint cars I've ever seen.

A victory lane incident involving a flower pot at the Jackson Speedway prior to the purchase and renovation to the Motorplex. If memory serves me it was a 360 race. Nothing that scandalous, the way I heard it the flower pot was punted.

I was at Husets one of the times he got in troubled and was banned for life from the place, maybe more than once.

Besides Terry being his normal self, and trying to poke another drivers eye out with his thumb, while the other driver is still in the car. Which I think is normal behavior, for a McCarl. You also had his boy Austin using words in the post interview that shouldn't be said.
Special needs kids come to the races quite often and do not need a top driver speaking like that.
Seems to me that they have a lot to work on as a family and as grownup. But that has never been Terry's thing.
I at least hope Austin makes a public apology for his behavior, I may believe that more than anything from Terry.

Perhaps I have 2 drivers mixed up but doesnt a mccarl promote some front row challenge or something?
Who does, or what are the correct details?
And not to argue but how does a person get banned for life....twice? Is there a story here?
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

I remember Lenard telling the story in Terrys younger days that he thought Jack Hewitt wronged him so against Lenards advice he had a little scuffle with Jack. The days of settling things with your fists are past tense. Not many tough guys left. You wont find a nicer guy than Lyton. People love controversy.

So it's cool to swear in front of kid's, just not ones with special needs...

In these days of young men and women still high school age running these cars I think the old tough guy thing has run it's course. I can't imagine one of these retro goons punching a Mccenna Hasse or Tanner Holmes. Times have changed.

How did the little scuffle with Hewitt turn out?

People change, conditions change, tracks need cars & drivers, rules bend.

I thot the same thing when I read about unacceptable words from the podium.
