Does anyone know, if or when, DirtVision will have an app for Apple TV?

I love getting all the races on dirtvision, but would be nice to get it on Apple TV.

If you have an iPad or IPhone,  you can airplay Dirtvision to your TV though Apple TV.

App is coming, don't know when but they are doing testing on it now. Probably a 2021 thing but they like to announce things around the World Finals so who knows?
And Airplay works very well for me as well.

Thanks, I have an hdmi cable from my computer to the TV. I can get DV on my big screen, but I like the flosports app for Apple tv, because It's easy to switch between races. My computer is in my office, so I have to run in there to switch, I guess I'm getting lazy.

If you have an Iphone and decent wi-fi you can connect to DV on your phone, hit the airplay button which casts your phone to your TV through the Apple TV and you can also switch using your phone's browser.

An app will be much better agreed, I am looking forward to it.

Breaking my self imposed exile and posting as I had similar issues.  I have a Roku TV and use the Floracing Roku app but DV does not have one of those either.  I purchased a Fire Stick which has the Silk Web browser so you can surf to the Dirtvision page on your tv and watch it in full screen mode.  They only cost around $35 or $40 and the nice thing about it is you can leave it connected.  I use it for racing and surfing the web in the TV from the recliner and as long as your wifi signal is good it's a great way to go until they make these apps available.

Thanks, for all the ideas. I have an ipad, and my wifi is pretty good. i might try the airplay thing, before buying something else.

This might work for the chilibowl PPV, also.

Do you know for certain it will be an AppleTV app?  The only thing I had seen on Twitter a while ago was an iOS app which led me to beleive it may not be for AppleTV.. I hope that's not the case as I love the FloSports app.  I don't have good luck AirPlaying from my computer and I also want to be able to flip back and forth between DV and Flo some nights.

I tried the Amazon FireStick route that Stan suggested but didn't have great luck with it and got more frustrated than anything else when I tried it, can't remember what part wasn't smooth for me.

Also, in added value news, DV will also carry the Big Block Modifieds Super DirtCar series races in 2021, no longer on Flo.  FastPass will be a great value, I only wonder if they'll keep the $39/month price point... I was already surprised they didn't increase it when they combined Sprints/LM and added Williams Grove, Knoxville and Attica this year.

Was it your wifi not being consistent in the area your TV is located?  I had that problem and ended up putting in a wifi mesh booster system for a couple hundred I got at Best Buy.  I think it was Eros or something like that.

Dirt track fans are likely all over the map with their speeds and signal strength.  I get 100 Mbps cable where I live and 30 miles away at the family lake home the fastest we can get is 10 Mbps DSL.  A lot of these fans live out in the middle of nowhere and wifi service gets sketchy the further out you go.  Probably up in North Dakota they use a string and tin can but I cannot confirm or deny that theory.  Sorry if I led you in a direction that did not work out for you.  My bad!

I don't know any specifics on the app, only that it was in the works.

No harm, no foul!  I think the majority of the problem was lack of patience on the user's part ;-)

Guys, THANK YOU for this thread. I have somehow gone all this time not realizing the Firestick had a browser that would run video. I have been using AppleTV, so I had the floRacing app, but had been mirroring DirtVision from my phone. Picked up a Firestick. Works great!

COVID MVP Award to those two streaming  services. keeping me sane while there is nothing to do.
