Brad Sweet made it very clear what he thinks of double file restarts when he was interviewed after the crash that took him out of the race.

I wish he'd be more honest about his feelings....

If the 26, for whatever reason, didn't try to back it in the corner. The wreck never happens.

I'm pretty sure Brad has won just as many benefitting from the double file starts.  im more getting the feeling that Larson Frustration is starting amongst fellow competitors that are used to checkered flags.

What did he say? I didn't catch it on the back stretch. Kiddos needed attention between races Or during red flags.

Were fans allowed? If no nationals this year how did this run with fans. The replay video looked like fans were there but I went in to check for tickets and there were none

About double file restarts he said, "I'm about sick of that shit."

Yes, there were fans there as there have been since June.

Knoxville stated that they were going to have a limited amount.  (I believe it is 7000)  Unlike other tracks who say they practice social distancing, when Knoxville sold the aloted amount they quit selling any more tickets.

Hats off to Knoxville for doing the right thing.   There was a lot of banter about some of the Indiana tracks practicing social distancing but having near sell outs during the USAC sprint week.

Appreciate it. I missed it. Still don't really know where I stand on double file restarts myself. Tears up equipment but sometimes it aids to better racing. Sometimes not.

It was overkill last night. The 'no contact' rule where if they have a yellow that isn't due to contact on a double file restart, they have another double file restart should be changed.

That said, with the cars as equal as they are, a lot of times the only passing (outside of Larson who seems to be able to pass at will) is on double file restarts.

Drag racing starts are usually double file, are they not? Smile

Totally agree about the cars being equal and little passing going on once the race has started.  There is a lot of passing and excitement on the double file restarts.  It's called car control folks and the outlaws are supposed to be the best in the world.  There is nothing worse for me then to watch a single file restart.  BORING!!!  As far as the rule, I think they need to leave it alone.  In fact, every restart should be double file.  If you are in 10th place or even further back, how do you expect to get into the top 5 in a single file restart, especially with the cars being so equal.  I highly doubt you would have seen Carson Macedo go from 24th to 4th last night with all single file restarts.  Ask him how he feels about the double file restarts.  It is all from the perspective of the driver.  Sweet was upset because the wreck took him out on a double file, but ask him if he is towards the back on a single file restart and I'll bet you get a different answer.

I couldn't agree more.  I've watched him benefit, usually due to his aggression.  Then the aggression takes you out and you whine about it?  Just emotion of the moment I hope.

Let's not forget what Logan said after the race about the slide job and that he dosen't make up the rules he just follows them , so I guess it's ok.

Ahh 1s needs to watch the race.57 came from 10th and was fast .

No way he was going to do anything but block 57 and blocking sucks .

Fastest car won.

How many wins is that for Larsen?

Opinions on if he beats Kinser's and Wolfgang's 45ish win seasons?
