Let's not forget the other milestone taking place tonight....the extra large flags will be officialy passed to the next generation.
Congratulations to Justin Clark on making his debut as the Knoxville Raceway head flagman.

Correct. Too bad it had to be under these circumstances and not with a crowd on hand to acknowledge him.

Of all the great "let's get this party started" signature calls like JG's "you wanted the best....", this one always got the hairs on the back of my young neck to stand up. Was that Jack Herwehe?

I just got off the phone with my son, he lives in rural western Wisconsin and does low voltage security installation for a living. He works four day weeks so he's off today and is in the process of beefing up his neighbor's internet setup so they can watch the race while working in the garage. I've got the Fast Pass here at my house and my neighbor called with questions about Dirtvision and said that he is getting the broadcast as well. One of my social media friends from down under says they'll be watching and cheering on the Aussies. All I can say is that I hope that Dirtvision has their bandwidth up to the task as tonight will likely set viewer records. That 20,000 that watches the Nationals from the stands will all be at home tonight along with all the rest of us.
There are a lot of back stories tonight. The first World of Outlaws race in a couple of months after all the drivers have been sitting at home like the rest of us. The first sport of any consequence to come out of quaranteen, NASCAR is opening soon and will likely be paying close attention. Doug Clark passing the flagging duties over to his son, Kyle Larson in his first race since stepping on his dobber. A great mix of Outlaws and others from Knoxville with a few others sprinkled in. A cold night so the motors will be purring like 48 kittens on steriods.
All fans will be on equal footing, we're all watching from home so it should be interesting to see what kind of posts we see on here as a result. Weather is going be clear and cold at Knoxville so cover up in a blanket in your recliners and enjoy the races.

This is going to be great! I'm so excited to see some racing finally. My buddy who goes to the races with me is coming over to watch with my son and I. It's not like being there, but what the hell. We take what we can get, right?

Im sure many many viewers for tonite, wondering how Dirtvisions server will hold up. Hopefully better than Speed Shift was a few weeks ago.
