I am frustrated by certain issues watching iRacing. The WoO race at Knoxville on FS1 a couple of weeks ago, I noticed that sprint car during a yellow drove right thru the pace truck without either of them crashing. Weird!
Then during a iRacing event either Wliiams Grove or Lernerville, I saw a couple of crashes with sprinters upside down but no flag. Maybe a yellow flag a couple of laps later. Weird!
Also, why can’t a schedule of iRacing events be published somewhere on the Internet? And then where to view the races either by PPV or national TV needs to be accurately displayed and hopefully limited to only a couple of choices.
Otherwise iRacing has become frustrating!

The pace truck is a ghost vehicle so it doesn't mow down other cars. This was a problem in the older Papyrus games.
I believe iRacing game doesn't throw yellows for the WoO invitaional races. The race director throws them manually.
A quick google search found this:
https://racer.com/2020/04/02/esports-race-calendar/ The rest of the WoO stuff only appears to be on Dirtvision.

Well at least to be somewhat realistic, either a yellow or red flag should be displayed after a crash!

The problem with having a caution every time there's an accident is that under the iRacing format, ALL caution laps count, and that's not something that can be "turned off"--it's part of how the simulation was designed. So multiple cautions in a heat race could mean no actual green flag laps completed. Same thing with the feature--beacause caution laps count, we avoid cautions unless absolutely necessary.

I'd say if anyone doesn't like it then it's time to quit watching video games...

People on here bitch about politics beingintroduced to a particular post, or how much Steve Kinser is the king, and Donny Schatz will never come close etc, etc, but THIS has got to be the most unbelievable post and stupid topic EVER. It is a friggin video game for christ sake. Just wow. I think this virus causes mental problems as well, just from reading this post. REALLY?

I have been watching some of the NASCAR sim races as well as some of the Sprint Car events. While it's realistic and entertaining I find that listening to announcers call the races with the same excitement level as the real thing seems for lack of a better word weird. When I watch I make sure that I've got the laptop handy or a guitar nearby to run scales on as they don't hold my undivided attention like a real race would. I will be watching tonights Knoxville race on YouTube as I'll watch if it's free or on a channel that I already have but I can't justify paying for it like I would with live racing.
I understand that many of them are trying to keep the lights on and retain subscribers while we ride this thing out and some consider it a badge of honor to subscribe. In my case I've got two of four adult kids out of work and struggling so any acts of benevolence will be directed at them and not at simulator racing.
As far as realism, it's what it is. If I couldn't overlook some of those glitches I wouldn't watch it. At first I was watching every race I could find but between the peculiarities of the game, the over the top announcing enthusiasm and all of the unfamiliar names mixed into the field my interest has waned.
There are a few positives, however, that keep me coming back to watch the ones I don't have to pay for. Juan Pablo Montoya in a Sprint Car and he drove through the pace truck instead of hitting it. Watching in car clips of Sprint Cars getting "pushed off" was odd, that's one time I agree they should have "starters". Likewise seeing local and regional drivers running in series and at tracks that their real budgets and day jobs would not allow. Donny Schatz' absence, one would think he'd pick up an iRacing rig and defend his title. Real drivers like Scott Bloomquist struggling in the sim Late Model and Black Sunshine "jumping into" a Sprint Car. Tonight's Knoxville ladies invitational will be interesting as well. Those strange twists that we would never see in real life have been more entertaining than the actual sim racing.

Is there a schedule for the Sprint car races on FS1? I have managed to miss them all so far.

I saw one on FS1 but haven't watched any on that channel since aside from NASCAR on Sunday. The one tonight from Knoxville will be free on one of the streaming channel's youtube page. The race flyer says Pushin the Cushion at 6:30 CST so I believe that is the place to be tonight. I enjoy watching them but I zone out half way through and do other things half the time so it's not worth paying extra for in my case.

I would rather watch paint dry than sit around and watch other people play a video game. No offense to people that are that bored. But I can watch real racing on You Tube. Go fishing, hunting, do work around the house. Even got my first turkey this year.

Hell, I'm retired so I've got time to do it all and still watch iRacing at the end of the day.
