For starters let me preface this by addressing the COVID situation. Obviously everything is shut down across the country at the moment. I hope everyone and their family is staying safe. But let’s assume it’s not going on. I need some help finding tracks/race schedule.

My brother and I moved to Reno, NV in September from Ohio. Been going to sprint car races our whole lives, mainly eldora and Knoxville. In recent year’s we started going all over Ohio visiting all the tracks for WoO and ASCoC. As the season should be under way right now it’s got us wondering what tracks are close by and when they have 410/360 sprint car races going on.

I know of a few tracks within 3-5 hours of Reno that are in Northern CA. Just not familiar with the sanctions and scheduled. If anyone could provide any dates and tracks of upcoming races, whether you think life will be back to normal or not, we would greatly appreciate the help! Would be willing to drive up to about 5 hours for a bigger race. Otherwise it’s all free game!

Thanks!

Fernley 95a Speedway is your local track but they don't run Sprints to my knowledge and may not even be racing this year. Placerville in California would be the closest Sprint track and it's about two hours away.  Two hours east are about four or five neat little tracks but again, not Sprint tracks.  Off the top of my head there's Rattlesnake, Winnemucca, Battle Mountain and Elko.

Hanford is about 5 hours away, Watsonville about the same, and Chico is about 3 hours from Reno.

This website is a god send for exactly this situation. Looks like Placerville is relatively close to Reno, great bullring with some cool events.

There is a Northern Nevada Sprint Association.  Facebook eco crate winged sprints or nvracingnews.com..There was to be a I80 Challenge Series..Don't get alot of cars, less than 10. You also can facebook NNSA. Like I say, not many cars and publicity is also minimal.
