From Fox Sports.com
Indy cars are on the road to helping revitalize the hurricane-ravaged Gulf Coast. If a Dallas-based sports marketing company can coordinate the infrastructure in time, the Indy Racing League will sanction a street course race in Biloxi, Miss., next September or October. Larry Cahill, a former IRL team owner who is a partner in Marquis Sports Marketing, is so certain the race will happen, he has organized a two-car, full-season Indy-car team to boost it. "I'm an owner of that track, and that (event) will happen," he said Thursday. Cahill Racing has signed sports car driver Milka Duno, a female from Venezuela, and is nearing a deal with sprint car driver Jeff Matrisin. IRL spokesman John Griffin confirmed the league's interest in the Biloxi project, although he said it will be a non-points race initially because of existing contracts.

I'm going to file this under the BS column until:
1. I see his name spelled correctly. 2. This is the second or third time this was supposed to happen. It hasn't yet, and if I were to bet, I'd say never will.

Cahill has already screwed over plenty of people with the Indy car deal. Anyone remember the Kevin Cogan and James Garner deal? Let's hope he doesn't screw Jeff over.

Jeff has been with Larry before. Was a pit guy on his IRL car. I think he knows what he is getting into.

This is something Jeff has wanted to do for a long time and his relationship with Larry is very good.. Larry has been helpful to Jeff in the past and this should be another step up the ladder..

We should be supportive to Jeff or any other sprint car driver that is given the chance. There are a lot of guys that can do it if they are given the opportunity. Jeff can do it. I have watched him win races at Knoxville and with the Sprint Invaders and this guy can race. I hope it works out for him.
