THIS SATURDAY! JOIN US for HIGH-SPEED DRAMA of the SPRINT CAR BANDITS “FALL SHOOTOUT 25” at 82 Speedway – SEPTEMBER 28th, 8pm! NEWS FLASH: Texas Wing Modified Series will also be racing!

(Click www.SprintCarBandits.com for full-size flyer view.)

Petty, TX (9/21/19) Event Marketing & Publicity by DarinShort.com. Next up for the 360 C.I. Sprint Car Bandits® series is a return to the very popular and sprawling (in every respect) ¼ mile of 82 Speedway, located about 15 minutes west of Paris, directly on Hwy 82 in Petty Texas. The event will pay $2,000 to win and down to $300/start with the running of the “Fall Shootout 25” presented by www.FixYourGenerator.com on Saturday September 28th at 7pm. All six divisions of 82 Speedway will be in competition as well, paying very solid purse structures (see below). Fans can expect a full field of many of the region's best dirt track racers to be on hand.

The September 28th event is also presented in part by @ [463718433754560:274:Carpet World], Smiley's Racing Products - The Official PageFix & Feed BonhamHicks Muffler and TireDavid's Paint & Body and Paris Alternator & Starter Service!

A :30 second look ahead: 82 Speedway track owner, Tracy Peters, had recently suffered the loss of his father, Paul “Patsy” Peters, and Paul’s birthday was on October 12th. 82 Speedway already had a race scheduled for that night, except now it’s going to become the massive $31,000 Paul Peters Memorial event; featuring $2,000 to win each in the Sprint Car Bandits and Touring Outlaw Modified divisions, plus $2,000 to win in the Factory Stocks & $1,200 to win in the Limited Modified division! Paul was known to have a big personality and an even bigger presence, so it’s only fitting to have an event of this magnitude in his honor. Paul was heavily involved throughout the years with several drivers in several divisions, and this huge event will help to celebrate the memory of his life in racing. If you are an individual or business that would like to help build this event even further, please email Darin at [email protected] for details. A complete event flyer and press release is already posted.

Back to September 28th: If you’ve yet to visit 82 Speedway, it is much closer to DFW than a lot of people think and is NOT the old Paris Speedway southeast of Paris. As a point of reference, including a quick fuel stop, you can get from the intersection of Bass Pro Shops/I-30/Bush in Garland to 82 Speedway in 80 minutes.

TRACK DIRECTIONS: Track is located about 1 mile east of Petty Texas right on Hwy 82, which is about 20 minutes east of Bonham and 15 minutes west of Paris. 16369 US Hwy 82 Petty, TX 75470. For track and details, go to www.82speedway.com or www.Facebook.com/82Speedway .

I like to call 82 Speedway ‘The Land of the XL.’ Translated, everything is XL size, such as the 60’ racing surface that is .26 miles on the pole (1/4 mile) then in the groove right at 1/3 mile. There are no walls around the entire track – with lots of runoff space wherever you’re racing, which leads to less tore up equipment. Over-sized grandstands that each have 0% obstructed viewing from whatever spot you choose to view from. Huge spectator and pit parking areas will greet everyone on their arrival. Track owners, Shelley and Tracy Peters who are some of the nicest people you’ll ever come across, and they have been reinvesting in the permanent structure of the facility since they purchased it last year.

Bottom line, if you haven’t been there, here’s your chance on Saturday, September 28th! A full line-up of 82 Speedway racing divisions will be joining the 360C.I. sprint cars, including open comp Modifieds racing for $1,000 to win, Texas Stocks, Limited Modifieds, Factory Stocks (all racing for $500/win); along with Eco Mods & Stocks (each $300/win). Come early for Fan Fest at 6:30pm, with the first green flag set for around 7:30pm (track packing and hot laps are at 7pm). Adult G.A. tickets (sold at gate on race day only) are $17, with kids 6-11 $5. Pit passes are $35, with ages 5 and under $15. Seniors/Military are $15. Click www.82Speedway.com for more details, and interact on Facebook 82 Speedway

The Sprint Car Bandits feature event will be 2nd or 3rd in the running order, depending on track conditions and time.

JOIN US EARLY for SCB FAN FEST! It's free and you get to meet the drivers and the teams, plus purchase team apparel, get selfies, get your apparel autographed; etc.!

-Pits Open by 4pm, Grandstands 5:30pm
-Sprint Pit Meeting/Cutoff 6:15pm
-82 Draw Cutoff 6:30, Pit Meeting 6:45
-Fan Fest 6:30-7pm
-Track Packing & Hot Laps 7pm; Racing to Follow Immediately
-Adult GA $17, Kids 6-11 $5

Here’s the purse structure for the SCB “Fall Shootout 25” presented by www.FixYourGenerator.com feature: $2,000 – 1,000 – 600 – 500 – 400 – 390 – 380 – 370 – 360 – 350 – 340 – 330 – 320 – 310 – 300…to start. All non-qualifiers or non-starters will each receive $100. There is no entry fee, no series membership fee and a $20 nightly draw fee. Drivers should go to www.SprintCarBandits.com prior to arrival for complete rules and procedures information…which will all be in effect.

This is also part of the www.SmileysRacing.com 4 Pack Bonus program that awards the SCB Fierce 15 teams with added bonus money, paid out for their support of the Series in increments of each ‘4 Pack’ of SCB events completed throughout the season. More details are posted at the series website. This is the 4th event in this 4-pack, which will award each of the Fierce 15 members an added bonus of $100 just for making all four events (Monarch, BCS, KSP & 82). The www.KoolTrikes.com SCB heat races will set the feature race lineup through passing points – straight up, with no inverting.

Here's the purse structure & details for Saturday September 28th at 82 Speedway. Transponders & RaceCeivers required in all divisions (track rental is available):

Factory Stock, Texas Stocks & Limited Modifieds (same purse structure, each division) features: $500 – 300 – 200 – 160 – 120 – 100 – 90 – 80 – 70 – 60…to start. See details below.

Eco Mods & Eco Stocks (same purse structure each division): $300 – 200 – 160 – 120 – 100 – 80 – 70 – 60 – 50…to start. See details below.

82 Modifieds: $1,000 – 600 – 400 – 300 – 200 – 160 – 120 – 100…to start. No draw fee or entry fee. See details below.

Winged Modifieds: Go to www.TexasWingModifiedAssociation.com for rules and purse structure for this series event.

Regarding 82 Speedway divisions: Non-qualifiers or non-starters that are registered with 82 Speedway for the 2019 racing season will receive $30 each in their division. If a driver chooses to compete in more than one division on the same night, the driver must purchase an additional pit pass per division entered. On regularly scheduled events, if 11 or fewer cars in a division are signed in, the posted purse structure for that division on that night will start at 2nd place pay and continue down from that point on. If the races rain out before the completion of the heat races, hold on to your ticket stub, as it will be valid for the next scheduled race of same ticket price value (in other words, if tickets that night were $15, the next event you will have a $15 credit when you redeem your ticket stub from the previous event). The exact same procedure will be in effect regarding pit passes. If the races rain out after the heat races, the event is considered complete, and any remaining races will not be rescheduled and all drivers will receive start money for their scheduled division that night (for any of the feature events that rained out). There will be no grandstand tickets valid for a future date if races are rained out after the completion of heat races.

Note to drivers: all race teams must run Westhold transponders and RaceCeivers. Track rental is available.

I mean who wouldn’t want to go to the track and have eight different classes. Why these tracks are stupid and only have two or three classes and cut out a ton of crap I’ll never know.

The sprint cars are 2nd feature out and the last 3 times there the sprints were done before 11pm...so fans that like stock cars and such can stay and enjoy them, the fans that just want to see sprints can still leave at a normal time.

In this day and age, this is how 80% of the tracks that want to have sprint cars, yet can't really afford a big sprint car purse, operate.

This is part of our contract with every Sprint Car Bandits series event, and it works out great for tracks, teams and fans alike.  Smile

LoL... Welcome to dirt track racing as it happens in the south now.    Devils Bowl is the only track in Texas that only runs 2 to 3 support classes.   This is one reason I don't go to weekly shows any more.   I like the idea of what Darin's saying though.   Run the sprint car feature early so they don't make you sit through the features for all the other stuff.   That makes it easier.

Considering very few classes pay for themselves through back gate promoting you’re still losing money. I have zero desire to sit through heat races for that many classes. There were tracks this year that I didn’t go to for that very reason.

If you’re within a 2 1/2 hour distance from ‘82...Sprint cars are already in the pits from as far away as British Columbia, Arkansas, Houston, Tulsa - and points between! If you’re not on the way to 82 Speedway, grab the family & get here - it’s going to be awesome tonight!
