Correcto mundo!   I think thw WOO should drop the west coast swing.  Teams out here dont support 410 ranks and the car counts are terrible or worse.  No car counts,  no back markers,  no traffic which equals freight trains a runnin. Yah west coast guys are 360 jr ranks lovers because its really cheap to run!  (right !)  Calistoga is a great track but no one likes it it burns up tires, (give me a break.) Full disclosure,  I'm from Sacramento and been involved with racing since 1989 but California has 360itis and 410's are dead here.  Many diehards have quit going to support as we hate 360 cancer series.   Sad shit !

Yes...Plymouth WI has had 40 360's and IRA shows are struggling to have 20...and a lot of those 20 410's aren't competitive.

Next year I think those numbers will only grow for the 360's and shrink for the 410's as well.

I'm also out of Sac and my wife and I have been going to the races for over 35 years. It wasn't that long ago that the Gold Cup would get 90+ cars and the Sat. A main would pay 50 grand. Had some great racing back then.

We went to Chico on Wed. and Thu. but skipped the gold cup(fri. sat.) The Wed race was one of the best I've seen in the last 2 years or so, super exciting from start to finish. Two or three wide, passing or getting passed two or more times in one lap. That would have been the race to watch on TV because there was so much going on you couldn't see it all, be nice to be able to play back some of the action so you could see just how close two or more cars were to each other and make the pass and not take each other out. Then we had Thu.

Thu. was just the opposite of Wed's race, just a total pos. and to make it worse they brought out the tractor and then we knew we would be getting hit by rocks for the first 4 to 6 green flag laps. didn't matter where you sat, had a guy in row P that had his lip split open by a rock after the tractor worked the track.

Placerville was a very good race(A main) but when all you have is three heats, dash and a 7 car B main. Well you do get home early on a week night.

Lets see how many will show up for the 360 Nor-Cal Shootout at Placerville this weekend, bet it will be 50+ I think they limit it to 12 cars per heat so they might have to have a c main(hoping anyway) the more cars the better.

Hey "rrounds" ask yourself this honestly,  Out of the 50 360's you cant wait to see at pville how many are hitters? Maybe 15 ?.  Most is junk or very young cart kids wrecking their owners cars and others.  The quality we once had isnt their any longer.  Cart kids wear out their older owners cars and use the money up and walk away without a thank you.  Keith Kunz literally rips off our talents yearly and all "your" heros A.K.A. Tony Stewart, Kasey Kahne and several others keep hijacking the sport and its costs by throwing unlimited monies at the sport while little guys can no longer contend or compete with the corporate monie which kills the sport. Dont know the complete answers but 360's isnt it as its " fools gold".  Whats funny about this sport is the fans who as long as theres a race there satisfied even if its crap.  Maybe raise the expectations some and get better quality races, promoters, drivers, owners and tracks. Settle for less and youll get LESS.

Trophy Cup is 360s, no? People seem to love that....

I went to it a few years ago & it was good, but way too many wrecks & yellow flag time

If the WOO drops going to CA completely does that help support sprintcar racing in that area, long term?

I don't really have a horse in the race but what you're saying makes a lot of sense to me. California is putting out more top notch talent in recent years than any other region but it seems like most of them end up leaving. By the time I hear about the next prodigy from the west coast, it's no time at all before I'm watching them race here in posseland at one of the big shows and by then you can figure the NASCAR cartel will likely already have their eye on them.

People with talent wanting to actually make a living in this sport leaving California is nothing new. It has been going on since the beginning of time. Being able to survive and thrive financiall exclusively within the borders of California is reserved for a select few who will go unnamed in this post but most know who they are.

360's are all but dead in PA. Selinsgrove is the only track that runs them weekly and they can barely draw a full field for a 5G show, and mid-teens for a regular show(2G to win). The once strong URC (360 sanction) car counts are also at all time lows.

I get what you're saying rotorglow, it kinda saddens me to see Gio win a modified pavement race at Irwindale, the beginning of the end, & all these young stars-Carricks, Jesse Love, Seaveys, countless others racing midgets, not to mention the obvious-Buddy, Gio, Eliason, Macedo, etc... we did get to see the latter group grow up & race a little around here, but the midget guys racing for Kunz, never even heard of them til they were on the national stage. But, when you're that good we have to expect this to happen. On the 360 Ca. thing, Trophy Cup is a race we've all come to appreciate the TBA factor, always having some surprise "hitters" fly in and fill a seat. Not often do we get to see a Stevie Smith or Ryan Smith, a Tim Crawley or a Wayne Johnson, Tim Shaffer and many others as well as a 60 something "Wild Child" come out & win the thing, so on that note i'm just saying this is one 360 race with it's share of stars and more often than not, pretty good racing. If you haven't yet, come check it out maybe
