Just happened. Macedo and Stewart got together at start of heat 1. Stewart went ass over. Got out of car and ran across to Macedo. Looked like he took several swings at him. Just bananas.

2 to the helmet. First he broke loose from an official, ran across the infield with the official, went to Macedo s car. At first it looked like a what the heck were you thinking type moment where he wanted to just yell at him, then 2 lefts. I'm sure the news this week played a role & his temperament. Probably not in the best place mentally.

Not seeing many fans in the stands. Anyone know if it’s typical at Skagit for the bottom rows of bleachers to be empty for an Outlaw show? Not trying to be a smarta** ,just curious.

I went there one night, and no one sat on the front stretch, everyone was in the turn 3/4 bleachers.  I think that place can be at 75% capacity without one butt on the front stretch.

Night two always draws more. Saturday night is race night at Skagit. That said, rarely see folks sitting down front on the front stretch. Sections on turn 3 and 4 end were packed tonight as they normally are for an Outlaw show.

Spent a lot of time in the pits after the feature tonight. Super cool to see all the drivers signing and posing for pictures with kids. Those guys do a great job of winning hearts and minds. I appreciate their efforts there on nights were the race doesn't go well for them.

Have to admit I didn't expect to see him roll out with a provisional. I can't imagine CJB is going to want that happening again. I wouldn't be surprised if they found someone else to replace him ASAP after that. I don't know. Perhaps there's more to the story we don't know.

Stewart was out engaging fans after the race. I didn't see Macedo anywhere for the longest time. Just before I was about to leave I saw him in street clothes behind of his hauler. I made an effort to get all the WOO drivers to sign a hat. Got them all except for Jacob Allen tonight. Allen's night didn't go well and he was nowhere to be seen after the feature.

Didn’t see the best replays but it looked like Shane got fed so much right rear that it bounced his car.

Macedo did a slight wheelie coming out of the corner and lost control stuffing Shane. Just unfortunate. That being said, Macedo has been driving like an idiot all season.

I watched that replay several times and agree with Johnny Gibson's call at the time, that Shane Stewart got sideways a bit and trying to straighten her out, got his back rear into Macedo.  IBO!

Will admit that first time I saw it I thought Macedo at fault, but then watched it over and over and its tough to place blame, just call it a racing deal, maybe.. Just don't see how Shane was so positive it was Macedo at fault enuf to throw a few punches.  That's racing and your livlihood is on the line almost every night with some of the drivers.

Bruce Velo posted a video from an angle that pretty much answers your curiosity abou why Shane was so upset.  Gibson should probably watch it as well

Macedo went from the inside edge of the track to about a car- width and a half from the outside wall real quickly. Macedo at fault in my opinion

The accident happened within a split second of the green happening. No one to blame really but for some reason people have to try to put blame on someone when sometimes shit just happens and there is no one's to blame

Here's the way I look at it. When you have a driver who has a reputation for being pretty aggressive getting into another guy in what appears to be a racing deal, most people are going to lay the blame at the feet of the aggressive driver. Right or wrong, thats usually how it goes.

The other variables to consider; when you have a track that is that fast and narrow combined with a format that rewards moving forward in your qualifying races, you are going to see people get very aggressive on the starts. If you cant pass them in the first couple of corners, you are pretty much stuck in your position unless someone makes a mistake or breaks.

It seemed to be racing deal to me. You'll have this.

Shane has had his share of “racing deals” as well. He ran Gravel into the fence at Eldora last year and had a run in with Hodnett at the Grove a few years back.

I was there at Eldora. I remember him apologizing over and over on the podium. Yours is a bit of false equivalency.

I just watched the video from two different angles. That's 100% on Macedo. He came from the inside lip of the track to the extreme outside in a very short distance putting Stewart into the wall. I've yet to hear any form of public apology for his mistake similar to what Stewart did last year at Eldora. Stewarts actions after contact were wrong too, but it doesn't excuse what Macedo did.

Yes I recall Stewart taking Gravel out pretty badly at Eldora too!

Dont think this was Shanes first runin  with Macedo..Think Macedo has a bit of a

learning curve ahead of him, I know the Madsens have had their fair shares with Macedo

this year too!!  The new kid on the block needs to pull the reigns abit!

So Shanes frustration was not only with this particular incident with Macedo

When Your married have a home, motorhome, tshirt trailer, wife and 2 second child on the way. This is your livelyhood..

You need to finish races to take any money home... Not get taken out.. just a few points to bring up
