Do you have some contractual obligation to showing the leader cross the line?
Please, for the love of God, use some common sense in determining what to show. Prime example is WoO Heat 3 from FALS - it sure was exciting going away from a cutthroat transfer spot battle between TMac and Gravel to show Larson win by a huge margin.
PS - Quit using the ontrack cams so much. We can't see shit.
PPS - Still love you!

Little bull rings are harder on the camera guys, I think. Gonna take more than a missed shot for me to complain. It’s Tuesday. I’m sitting in a recliner. In California. Watching The Outlaws in crystal clear HD with Johnny Gibson in my ear. It’s all good.
This is seems like a bad ass racetrack too. I hope the surface holds up. This could be great feature.
Does it seem like more people sitting on the back stretch than the front?

I completely agree. Although DirtVision has improved greatly in the past 2-3 seasons, they still need to show the transfer spot battles. Who gives a damn about the leader having half a track lead? And I agree about Gibson also. He's great, but he needs to calm down when saying their names EVERY TIME. Daaaaaaaavid Gravel. SO ANNOYING.

I completely understand when there are multiple battles going on - you can only show one. But man, it happens way too often where they'll go away from a battle to show someone win by more than a straightaway. That should be super simple to avoid.

JB is first the track announcer. He has a new crowd every night or every 2nd event so the fans in the stands, those he was originally hired to inform havent heard Daaaaaaaavid Gravel before. It's fine for them. The sponsors need the airtime, helps the drivers get money. Mute is an option or just crank some engine revving sounds like you would get if you were there

What a race tonight. Had it gone green the whole race it would have been the race of the year.

What do you expect from a video broadcast? They can't focus on everything
Thats why going to a live race is SO much better!!!!

Of course they can't - I've made that abundantly clear here. I just wish they'd focus on the an actual battle as opposed to pulling away from one to watch the guy leading by nearly a half track.
Johnny Gibson doesn't call the leader effectively hotlapping while there's a dogfight going on for a transfer, he calls the battle. The camera should do the same.

Yes Fairbury is incredible. Track took rubber last year during the a which was a downer. It was top notch tonight. It is a top shelf late model track. The Prairie Dirt Classic Outlaw late model weekend is really good.

If you watch on mute how would you know JG is selling the series to the current and potential sponsors and fans? The fact that you "hate" it says more about you than most of us care to know. It says you have no clue about the racing business. It says you've clearly never had to bust your ass to find sponsorship dollars and give sponsors a reason to have their name on your car and hand you money so you can go racing...I could go on, but it would be a waste of time since you have it on mute anyway. Its a much easier/larger sell when you can tell a sponsor you are guaranteed to get them national exposure.
How about you also unplug your keyboard at the same time you hit mute? Thereby saving us from your douchebaggery SMH...
Keep up the good work selling the sponsors and sport, JG!
Thanx,
Bruce

Spot on - folks have to remember that Johnny is the track announcer calling the race for the grandstands. The fact that DirtVision picks up his audio for their broadcast is secondary. He does a really good job.

I had feed issues last night and tried everything to to get the connection fixed, but nothing worked. The signal kept buffering and freezing. I gave up on it and went to bed. Oh well. It was the first time in a year and a half that I had issues, so its not a big deal. By the highlights it looked like I missed a great one.
Alas.

I watch most of the shows on Dirtvision. Johnny is one of the best in all of dirt racing. He is excitable but as mentioned, he is the PA announcer for the live crowd first & foremost. A lot of that crowd is only seeing the show once a year so it is kind of like the carnival coming to town.
In my opinion, the Outlaws put on a tremendous "show". Of late, the racing has been outstanding. Their night to night presentation of an event is unparalleled in dirt racing. Things like the music between races & his nightly high energy level are part of that. He also gives the complete lineups (sometimes talking fast to do that). I appreciate that as it is one of my pet peeves of certain announcers. I know most of the guys but sometimes don't know every car. Like to know who is in each car. Also, lots of the live crowd folks are maybe just casual fans & would know less than the vast majority of those of us that would post on this board. PA announcer should give them lots of info.

People will always find something to bitch about. Going from only having a handful of shows a few years years ago to now doing EVERY SINGLE ONE and you still find something to complain about. Reminds me of a few years back when everyone wanted a College Football Playoff, got it and now are bitching to expand it further ... smh people are never content. You give an inch, they want a mile.

I knew someone would have a reply like this. I'm not asking for them to drastically revamp the product. This isn't an unreasonable request. This is a great service and I've gladly paid for it every month and have had very few issues. It's a simple thing to do that can provide an increase in quality, and I'm assuming if you polled most viewers, they would share this opinion.
And the college football playoff does need expanded. I wonder how many products and services would be toiling in mediocrity if people hadn't "bitched" or demanding that "mile". This is how you improve things.

I know when I'm in the stands my head is on a swivel trying to catch the action all over the track. I can't imagine trying to do the same with a video camera.

It only makes sense to improve a product if you can and when you can especially if it cost you nothing. I do dislike seeing a single car cross thr finish line with s 2 second wait for the next one when you hear JG talking about a close slider pack in the pack.
Profitable companies listen to their customers, maybe a well written letter to DV would garner more results than a quick note on this forum.
