Anyone have any idea on potential car count at I96 on Fri/Sat?  Saw a nice GLSS show last Friday that Smoke showed up for (and won).  They had 37 360’s and it was a nice heavy track (Smoke set a new track record for a 360 during qualifying).  Hoping the weather holds off for this ASCS & GLSS joint event....not sure how many full time ASCS cars are traveling....

ASCS will bring around 10-12 travelers and based on last weeks car count I would expect at least 40 cars. Should be a great show

The weather outlook has improved greatly here this morning.  I have changed my opinion from the entire weekend getting washed out to at elast getting tonight in no problem.  I also expect 40ish cars and  great show.

Great ASCS/GLSS show on Fri - weather was great, track was in good shape, the Americans Ethanol Modifieds put on a spectacular show, and the sprint car racing was awesome.  The system that ASCS uses with multiple qualifying heats and passing points meant we saw 11 sprint car races with 41 cars in the field ....I like that system vs individual qualifying.  More events need to use it.  If you’re not passing someone you are likely going backwards for your next starting spot.  Great job by Hafertape to absolutely dominate the feature, and a shout out to a local driver (Ryan Ruhl) for finishing 2nd.  We had a chance to chat extensively with several drivers and crew members (Matt Covington, Sam Hafertape’s crew) in the pits and Blake Hahn’s dad in the stands - they were all true ambassadors for both ASCS and the sport of sprint car racing in general.  Pure class all the way!  ASCS paired with GLSS will be a very tough act for the World of Outlaws to outdo when they come to Michigan in July.  If you are thinking of doing the ASCS show tonight (Saturday) but hadn’t decided, I would highly recommend it.
