NCRA Crate Late Model Season Kicks Off This Saturday Night!

 

Park City, Kansas – April 17, 2019 - The first-of-a-fifteen race schedule await the National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Mel Hambelton Ford Racing crate late model division takes place this coming Saturday night at 81 Speedway in Park City. This 2019 race season will be the tours 36th season and will be the first of six races scheduled at the speedway.

Defending co-champions Delbert Smith from Wichita, Kansas and Dusty Leonard from Marysville, Kansas will look to claim sole possession of the series championship this season. If one of these drivers accomplishes this feat, it would be Delbert’s third series championship and the first for Leonard.    

Yet the list of drivers who will be looking to get the new season off to a winning start is strong as is the contenders for the tour championship.

Former two-time champion Chris Kratzer of Wichita will look to get back on track and back to his winning ways while Cory Dumpert of York, Nebraska; who won a tour-leading six events last year looks to claim his inaugural championship.

Other touring regulars expected back on the tour for 2019 include Adam Popp, Adam Schrag, Jimmy Segraves, Brandon Givens and Tony Foster.

Four-time and defending NCRA mod lite champion Justin Kinderknecht will forgo his chance for five championships in a row as he will vie for rookie of the year honors. Joining Kinderknecht in the RoY chase is Tyler Frye from Belleville.

Also on the speedway racing card will be the season opener for the series modified and mod lite divisions while the Oklahoma based Sooner Limited Modified Series will also be competing.  

Gates will open at 4:00 PM with race action set for a 7:00 PM start time.

Grandstand adult general admission is just $15 while children eleven and under will be admitted into the grandstands for free. Make sure to bring the kids as the speedway will be giving away a chance for some youngsters to win a bicycle as well as Easter egg hunts and a chance to meet the Easter Bunny. Pit passes are just $30.
