Kevin Swindell really has a good team and it would be great if they could be funded to run the whole WOO series.

anyone else think that team is good as they are would give Schatz a run for his money? Kevin deserves props for how good he is getting at running a pro team and his skills as a chief are shining. Not that he needs it but good job Kevin

Depends, are we saying the team with Christopher Bell in the car or the team with any other driver in the car?? With Christopher Bell in the car, any team can probably give Schatz a run for his money. Without Bell and lets say we put Bayston back in the car as in prior years, I think they have success and win races but I don't think they contend for the title.

That is not a slight on the team as Kevin & Co have done a great job managing the team. Yes it is a "pay to play" type team in which the driver most likely brings money to the table but, if that is what they feel works best to make money and build then that is what they have to do. Not sure what the team's goals are for the future if they would like to continue as is and race what logistically makes sense and hit the big races, or if the Outlaws are a goal or not. WIth Bayston moving on to race full time with the All Stars full time, my first thought would be that they have no interest in competing full time with any series.

Perhaps having one of the best young drivers not named Larson at the wheel made the difference? This is a very average team without Bell at the wheel.

Unless I know you, I don't care what you think.

Yeah, as much as I don't want this to come across as crapping on the team, CBell was the big difference you saw last weekend.

Everyone always looks at small sample sizes and assumes the same results over the course of a long year. Even with Bell that team wouldn’t be in the top 3 at the end of the year.

From a speed standpoint, I think they'd be competitive. From an attrition standpoint, not so much. Need a lot of equipment and both mental/phsyical toughness along with a dash of pure insanity to run a full WoO tour.

I think you're fooling yourself if you don't think Bell could podium the Outlaw points in a properly equipped and funded ride. I don't care who's name is on the car, and I'm not even sure I care who is setting it up. Bell feels like one of the types that just getting it close will allow him to compete for the W.

This might be a hot take, but I'd take Bell over Larson in a full year WoO schedule if you were to put them in the same ride.

Yes Bell is better than Larson in my opinion.

I agree.Too bad Bell & Larson aren't driving sprints full time maybe someday in the very near future.

Does Bell have a schedule out for driving this car?

The question was that team getting 3rd or better with Bell in it. Not Bell in the Kahne or Stewart rides.

From my experience I think Larson is the better driver. Small snapshot here but Bell has came to Knoxville multiple times in different rides and has been B main material. A few of those times he was running TSR equipment as well. Larson had Knoxville down the first week he came which is impressive. In a midget Bell is slightly better. Larson is still there pushing Bell often finishing second. In a sprint Larson has achieved far more success. I feel like Larson can drive anything, anywhere, and anytime. Again this is my opinion and I still think Bell is a great driver. See Bells success in a sprint at Eldora or Jacksonville with the WoO.

Fun question: If Bell runs 40+ races in the Speedlab 39 does he also leave Kunz and run a Swindell Midget for Chili Bowl next year? I think he would be crazy to give that up but how close is this relationship?

I pretty much agree on all of that. Bell is better in a midget, Larson better all around

Bell is a great driver, but not a huge amount of experience in winged sprint car. I doubt if he can challenge Donny, but I think he'll win some races

Bell in Swindell car for Chili Bowl? I would LOVE to see that!!!!! Could stop the Kunz Armada, plenty of drama in that situation....

Well, Bell ran Swindell's car on one of the east coast swings last year too but still ran for Kunz at the Chili Bowl. I don't think one has anything to do with the other.

How many times did Larson have Silva for those Knoxville runs?

Fast team! It would be great to see that car run more. I could give a shit less about the outlaws though. Lots of other racing throughout the year.

Bell's run in the #39 shows both that he is absolutely everything we thought he was in an incredible talent - AND - that the Swindell SpeedLab 39 has the juice to be up front.  The two of them brought out the best in each other

Did Bell do well on that swing? I honestly don't remember it. I don't think it has anything to do with the other either. He would be a fool to leave Kunz.
