Anyone know how the chili bowl determines the qualifying roster... as to which night each driver qualifies on?
I took the list which speed sport released and tried to narrow it down leaving only the bigger names. Thought this might help me decide which nights of PPV I want to buy. Seems like Larson lucked out... That left me wondering how this was all determined.

Tuesday does look the weakest, but I also see Sunshine, Buckwalter, Faccinto, Hafertepe, Layser and Wight are also on that night on Chili Bowl's latest update.
Oh , and this year only the top 2 are locked into Saturdays A-main each night.

Yes. After I posted this I realized the more current lineups are on the chili bowl website. Still curious as how they decide who qualifies each night. The fact they are shifting drivers around up until the week before tells you this isn't random.

Listened to a OpenRed Podcast and they mentioned the one driver Larson absolutely hates to get passed by is CBell.

Added a night this year due to increasing entries. Hope it was a good move. Haven't really looked into the format change much yet.

Watching last years chili bowl pole shuffle, turkey night this year, and that race this past month in New Zealand at Western Springs. They give each other no room. Each one they hit each other usually the result from Larson. It makes for good racing. Go Kyle!

Off of the Chili Bowl website:
Racing Night 2
Building/Pit Pass Booth Open..……9:00 am Building Secured.............................1:00 pm Draw For Lineups............................2:00 pm Driver's Meeting..............................3:00 pm Hot Laps…………………….…….....4:00 pm Races………………………..……….5:00 pm
I'm assuming thats correct. Each nights around 10:30-11 it seems like but with added nights and fewer car per night maybe this changes? I'd say your close to being worth it but also close to saying why rush it. If you could tell me how good the race will be I could tell you if it would be worth it.

Good luck on that one! If i recall, last year's CB & Turkey Nite they were trading the lead repeatedly.....
Those guys are teammates, right? I don't think any of those Kunz guys like "good ole Sammy"

If you go straight to the Expo Center you should be there well before 9pm. Guessing thats about when the B-features run.
Don't forget there is also the Race of Champions feature so you can see Larson twice.

Thanks Porsche Pete. Next question is I will be able to find a cut rate ticket that late....I'll find that out when I get there (Or maybe at that hour I can cruise right in?)

I'll check my crystal ball!
If I recall, damn near all the CB races were good... its not like a winged race at a1/2 mile track!
Thanks again....

I went to the chili bowl for the first time last year, didn't have reserved seats for any night. You should be able to get in by buying a pitpass for tuesday night.

Ive been to the Chili Bowl every year since 2014 I believe, I have yet to buy a ticket. I always get pit passes. Early in the week you can sit in turn 2 and watch and it is not crowded. Come Friday and saturday it is hard to find a seat, at that point we just pull out our lawn chairs and wheel up a cooler of beer and watch the big screens.

Feeling pretty good about my picks so far. 4 for 4 on picking the locks for Saturday's A main. Also predicted in the correct order of who won the night. Will be interesting to see how the rest of my picks hold up this week.
