Kind of surprised by that news, I guess his back is finally feeling better. Hopefully "The Crowd Pleaser" is fully healthy and making the right decision.

Craig was one of the best at one time.Age and injuries took their toll. Hopefully he can still have fun and be competitive. He was ding well but wanted to race more was reason for leaving the current championship car.I would say his whole life has been racing and sometimes getting a real job is hard after being on the road and in the spotlight for many years. Doug Wolfgang came back many years ago and the fans loved him and He did better than most but in his own words not like his younger days.

That damn crash at Indy is what caused Craig so many problems. It was reported that he had extensive back surgery early last year. He had been racing with severe pain for quite a while. The best to you Craig. Hope things work out well for you!

Question though... Dustin Selvage was always a 360, will it still be a 360 or will they graduate to a 410?

Dollansky plans his return in Danny and Naomi King’s #88 sprinter, March 15th and 16th for a 2-day ASCS show in Dallas, TX at Devil’s Bowl Speedway. Along with this event Dollansky will attend the Steve King Foundation’s annual golf outing at Buffalo Creek Golf Club in Rockwall, TX on the 14th. (For additional information visit The Steve King Foundation website.)

“Danny and Naomi are passionate about sprint car racing and I look forward to racing with them again in 2019 as my schedule allows,” said Dollansky.

Danny King also commented, “We are tickled about Craig’s return and we want to put him in our race car as much as possible.“

Dollansky and the King Team also plan on participating in a 2-day show in Wichita, KS during the first weekend of April.

Besides racing with the King Team in 2019, Dollansky has also agreed to race at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, IA weekly in the Selvage Motorsports #7. In 2018 driver, Dustin Selvage, expressed some interest in stepping away from driving and into an ownership role. This year, with a baby on the way, he has met with Dollansky and discussed fielding a ride in the 410 class for Knoxville’s weekly shows.

Selvage remarked, “I felt it would be a great opportunity for a small team like mine to work with a driver like Craig. I believe he is as hungry as ever and can still get the job done.“

Selvage and Dollansky will concentrate on Knoxville and potentially other shows in the mid-west. Dollansky and Selvage will work together to prep the team to win races, with their main focus on the Knoxville Nationals.

Hoping for the best for Craig.  He was such a great ambassador for the World of Outlaws and sprint car racing in general with the way he engaged with the fans.  I organized a large group for multiple WoO events in Michigan over the years and Craig came out to our tailgate area several different times to sign autographs and answer questions and all he got from us was many hearty “thank you’s” and a maybe a few extra t-shirt sales......he even shared some beers after a win.  His nickname of “Crowd Pleaser” may have originated with his aggressive driving style, but his accessibility and engagement only adds to that moniker.  May lots of wins while maintaining his health come his way in 2019!

Dustin did 410 racing but last year only had one 410 motor and it blew one of the first nights at Kville and he parked it for the year. Not sure if Criag is bringing a motor or additional sponsorship to the team in order to have a couple motors. Good deal all around for all!
