Profitting from deceased drivers while spamming the board. Real cool.

Excuse me, I'm offering many photos and what not of an array of drivers. I have spent tons of money supporting local and not so local dirt track racing. From time to time help out low budget teams continue to run, knowing they have no chance to win, only to help support what they love. I have made donations to families of fallen racers not only now but when there wasn't a place to go brag about it. Lots of people haven't got a chane to meet these guys in person or see them race. So before you judge with your ignorant posts remember this. Don't point your finger when you yourself have dirty hands. I could return the vulgarities but whoever you are don't really bother me at all. If this doesn't help explain this thread then go pound sand. Just trying to spread the word as I've seen other people do. But thanks for your opinion. Happy holidays!!!!!!

It wouldn't be a bad idea for you to pay for an ad in the want adds sections of Hoseheads.

Thanks for the advise. As you can see I'm new to this board. I'll check into it tomorrow.. I wanted a forum to make people aware of the great stuff I have and was sure there was a proper way to do it. I appreciate you pointing me in the right direction without being degrading. Have a safe and wondurful holiday!!!

The posters original post clarifies he was not trying to cross any undrawn lines or offend. At least that is what I read into it. Is it wrong to sell a signed Babe Ruth photo or Dale Earnhardt?

No. Time heals.

Would it be wrong to sell it via repeated spam on a forum? Yes. The guy is a moron regardless.

Your best bet would be to contact Alan and look into an ad on the main Hoseheads page. I doubt posting anything here would do you much good any way since the population of non asshole individuals who frequent this place has dwindled to near zero. A few weeks ago I posted a Gofundme for a good friend of mine's mom who lost everything in the camp fire. I forget how many views there were but not one single donation. There were enough people who were on this board who knew Randy Frank back in the day that I have no doubt there would have been people who would contribute. The fact that nobody did tells me everything I need to know about the makeup of the current participants.

Everyone will be sure to send you unsolicited links to donations for any number of things since you will surely blindly donate to anyone who spams you. Morons like you think posting on a forum, which isn't for donations or selling things in the first place, is going to somehow warrant your desired results. You are a bonehead, just like the guy who made this thread.

Alan, can we get this thread deleted? What a joke. OP, I would make posts in the claassifieds section of the hoseheads website for your stuff, the forum is not a place for that. As for everyone else, this is exactly why most everyone with any relavence in sprint car racing no longer looks at this board, all it is is a bunch of people with nothing better to do but piss and moan and be pricks to each other. The hoseheads of old was a much better place, where people could have discussions without having to worry about dipshits coming on and ruining the thread.

Hoseheads of the past was great, Hoseheads of the present is not. Lets make Hoseheads great again.

Suite yourself. NOBODY had an issue when I did it selling calendars to raise funds for two different charities. Not one complaint. YOU have been around long enough to remember that.

No one of significance...really...drivers and announcers and staff of the 2 largest bodies. That's not much of a compliment to those people.

I know I am not significant but at the risk of allowing someone to piss and moan, I've learned more about sprints from this forum than from Google.

Which is exactly why I said "Most", I didn't say "No" or "None",  And I would think that Johnny, Blake, Ross, etc. would agree with that statement. Just because there are still a few people who lurk around, Hoseheads used to be full of drivers both local and national, track owners, sanctioning bodies, and what have you, and now it is mostly fans. Why? Because people got sick of it. You may have a high profile driver or two who still looks at this board from time to time, but it is nothing like it used to be. Most of them guys have taught themselves not to look anymore, to not even care, its even been the joke around the pits the last few years, someone says "Did you see what so and so said about you on the message board?" and their response is "Hell, I haven't looked at hoseheads in 10 years."

There still is good information shared on the message board, I will say that, but more and more often, you see people who can't hardly make a single post without calling someone an idiot, dumbass, what have you, in their post.

I am glad that you have learned more here than google, that is the point of the message board, to share informationm, which is what I like to do, and I also like to learn new things. Ive been around for a while, but there is always something to learn.

For far too long have not only random people but also press/tracks/etc been allowed to post with free advertising here. One post a week is fine, but there were some PR companies and tracks who would fill the front page.

This one is in pretty bad taste though. I don't have a problem with anyone selling any merchandise, even autographed photos of drivers no longer with us, but it's in terrible taste to list specifically those drivers. The original poster knew exactly what he was doing there and it's just shameful and indicative of someone exploiting these tragedies for personal gain.

I wonder how many of these drivers are getting any cut of autographed stuff as well. I took a quick peek at the store and this looks like a person who sells sports memorabilia often, as well as coins. I can understand the value in someone selling a high level athlete's autograph, but I wonder how Jessica Zemken or Brian Brown or JJ Grasso among the many others would feel if they knew someone was selling their autographed pictures.

It just seems cheesy. Looks like this guy walks around the pics and takes photos and then gets them signed by the drivers and then sells them. No worse than the NASCAR fans who show up to driver signings toting 20 different things for a driver to sign. This is the type of crap that will lead to drivers being less likely to sign or talk with fans after a show, and that is not a good thing for this sport.

Find something better to do with your time.

Thanks for not bashing me too bad. You are very close to putting your finger on me so let me clear it up for you. I have been going to races since childhood. As it progressed after high school I drank and used way too much. Now being sober I kill time taking pics, making friendships at the tracks, buying merchandise, lending a hand. After many years of collecting things I decided to let them go. This isn't a job.Nobody in my household wants them and can't take it with me. These are the things I looked for. Just putting the word out. I am a foundryman of 20 years. It's a hobby dude. BTW, I donate money to recer's families etc. If anyone else here has ever bought a right rear for someone just because you know the feeling. If you notice I take pics of everyone, not just track champs etc. and some guys really appriciate it. I've had 2 drivers buy stuff this week. Email me if it bothers you that much and I will go into detail. Sorry I didn't contact some of you before I starting taking pictures and listing them. I've done far worse, so please keep judging........
