Rudeen Racing Announced Cory Eliason driving for them in 2019.

So any word on where this puts Joey Saldana in 2019 ?

Saldana should just try to find a deal that would allow him to run the All Stars and Eldora WoO shows. I think he’d have a Dale Blaney- type run and make a good living with that.

Listened to interview on Sprintcarunlimited last week and Joey said he had no plans as of yet. He did state he has cars and motors in his shop ready to go and could run his own team if he could find some financial backers/sponsors for operating expenses.

Sorry to hear that, but we need to thank Brad for all that he has done for us in the past.

For those of you that do not know, Brad is an athletic trainer with the University of Nebraska - Lincoln.  I think he is primarily involved with the Track & Field and Cross Country teams.  In the past, he was working with the Men's Basketball team.

He was certainly good in the INDY 71. If that car could run the whole all star schedule with Joey at the helm it could be a very interesting season.

Joey was an excellent racer in his early years, but I feel that he has lost the talent with in that made him a star in years past. Far to many great rides & no production. Not what high dollar teams & owners expect. Good Luck in the future may ever where you fall..

Couldn't disgree more. He is still a great driver. Like was mentioned above, put him back in the IRP 71 and run the entire All Star schedule, my money he wins the championship or is right there in the thick of it at least. He was a rocket in that car 2 years ago. I'd love to see him run All Stars full-time next year!

Joey hasn't lost anything...except blown motors and a rotating crew.

52 Races

25 Top 10s

4 Podiums

15th in WoO Points (Starting 31 of 71 main events)

Any owner with good equipment and a solid crew will reap the benefits whether WoO, ASCoC or pick and choose their schedule.

Bernie's car(s) are always fast and he is truly an underrated wrench / car owner / crew chief.  Not saying Joey wasn't fast in the car, just giving some praise to Bernie. His cars are always fast and competitive.

Absolutely right. Those cars are always fast and running up front a good portion of the time. And it does seem even with driver changes, they are still right there. That in itself says a lot for the quality of the operation as a whole. I sure enjoy rooting for them!

I do too. When the IRP 71 team(s) pull in the pits, it's gonna be a great show! I have one of their tail tanks and a nose wing panel hanging on my wall at home.

Easily one of my top 5 favorite cars. I'm stoked everytime they roll into posseland. They always have top notch drivers and guaranteed they're going to be fast. Gio's performance at the National Open this year is a testament to what a good team it is. Williams Grove is a bastard to get the hang of for most drivers/teams yet they rolled right in and won the prelim and followed it up with quick time and a strong run in the open itself. I'd love to see them do the whole All Star deal with Joey.

And as soon as the track slicks off he goes backward. If there is a cushion he can lay the RR on he does well.

Well I have to disagree....Jac at Tulare had over 80 young guns and he beat them all in a new ride 2 weeks ago

Saldana is 46 years old. That is not at all old for a winged Sprint Car driver. If 46 is old, what does that make Sammy Sinwdell?
