So Paul McMahan is getting the boot... does anyone know what his plans are? Also what's up with the 35 and 83, heard they're being parked, will we maybe see them back out west? And it's been a couple of months so it's time to re-start the USAC @ 'stoga rumors....

I hear Ron Horton is going to run the Miller Beer Wagon 44, Ted Harrison we be in his own experimental # 24, & Donnie Evans will be in the Al Leist Machine 88.

Also hear that Kevin Pylant will buy the Reid's Diesel # 6 stuff & compete for the RoY @ BAYLANDS!

Is that Ron Horton in the Billy Dechamps 44? Might have the last name spelling wrong, but those were the days! Ron and Rick Horton, I still remember them saying at Calistoga one night that racing with the wings would ruin the sport. Which one was always drinking an RC cola? Ron or Rick?

Running with wings may not have ruined the sport, but, it sure ruined the racing at Calistoga

I liked the Miller car when McAfee had it on his 82. I might be a little bias on this though, but that sure was a cool car for the times. I still have the belt buckle Miller gave him at the time.

Hey FAVOR FAAVEEE!!!!

Donnie Evans won't be running that car... it was an '82 Chuck Delu chassis and I wrenched on it for a season at San Jose in '94 wearing the number 5X. That thing was a sled.

Finished 10th in points and won RoY though!

Hey there, Donny's son.  My name is Jenny and Al Leist is my step-dad.  I'm sure he would have a lot of information about your dad if you'd like to reach out to him.  Drop me an email at [email protected].

I have nothing but good memories of your dad.  He was absolutely my favorite driver that ever ran any of our cars.

I hope life is treating you well.
