Question for those who have Nationals tickets:

I ordered a group of tickets and then ordered another ticket for all 4 days at a later date.  The first group I got was blue and the single ticket I got for all four days was red.  Can't see where there is any difference but the color.  Started to panic thinking I hit "child" or something.  Any idea why this is?  No big deal?

(gonna call track tomorrow but wondered if anyone knows)

Not sure the color difference, but I can tell you from a person that buys a child ticket that the price/ticket is the same for child or adult this year.  I'm sure some people saved money cheating the system online over past few years by ordering a couple child priced tickets for adults in their group. This is first year that the price of tickets is the same for everyone

Their excuse for the price change is they made the seats wider therefore losing some.  We always bought an extra ticket just for the room.  I guess we'll see how much more room there actually is per seat this year.  I'm not expecting it to be all that much.

I'm sure a few just over the age limit did use a child's ticket sometimes but if adults were it's the fair boards own faults seeing as how fair board members are the ones actually checking the tickets.

It would be interesting to know what the total revenue is now with less seats but no child prices versus in the past.

The Bryan Clauson Suite Tower added 12 new suites and a rooftop observation deck.  I think that income will offset the seats that were lost with making the front stretch seats wider and reallocating the seating.

I just got clarification.  There is no difference between the tickets, just a new batch of blanks.

FYI for anyone else who may encounter this

Cool, I like being different anyways.  Hey, if we hold our tickets just right, we can be Madsen's paint scheme from last year.

It was my first time last year, and the guys I go with always buy an extra seat for ball room.  I remember there being plenty of room even if it wasn't because of the empty seat.  I am talking back stretch seats

I haven't seen the new seat width , but I'm hearing it's considerably wider.  I'll find out tonight...

We had some yahoo in our row who spent all Saturday getting hammered and getting his courage up to berate everyone in the row for not giving him enough seat room the night before and shouting at people down the row to the point that we had to threaten to get security to get him to calm down. So I’m glad they widened the seats.

For anyone who hasn’t tried it, if on Wed and Thurs you’re in a cramped row and don’t mind moving, the sections toward the 4th turn  don’t fill up nearly as much those days and you can sit pretty comfortably.

Saw the same thing happen a row in front of me last year. An older guy in the middle of the row actually came down to the end and tried to push the guys sitting at the end of the row, even though they were in their seats. This was after he'd be yelling at them for a bit....

Security was called and that was the end of that.

Not too hard to tell him to center his pucker spot on his seat number. If he hangs over, then he needed 2 seats..

The seats were already marked last weekend, and the #s were noticably more spread apart, so there will be more room, however if you have a larger person sitting in a seat, and then line up 12 of those, it will still be cramped, just less cramped. Thank god for back rests.

Kudos to Kendra and Knoxville for doing this, in addition to the hand rails.

I'm always interested in what upgrades the track does each year. This year, fencing, hand rails, and speakers. I'm assuming the antennas on the speaker poles on the front streach are for wifi or internet? I'm sure there are more that go unnoticed. Oh, and thanks for adding debit card swippers to the concessions, last year? This seems to speed up the food line tremendously.

The Knoxville Raceway App is nice too for live updates on position and times.
