**McCarthy flipped during hotlaps and was transported to a local hospital for observation. Gansen and L.Williams flipped on lap 3 of the feature. Hendrix flipped on lap 18 of the feature.

Troy from 14th to sixth in a 360. Not bad (even for a guy know who does know the track) on a night when it was hard to pass until well into it.

Brody's trip to Ventura last week paid off. Damion looked very strong for the first eight laps. But Roa went by in a hurry and one more time after the restart. Bernal and Swanson tussled all the way through. The leaders went consistently to the bottom in one and two most of the way, but were able to use the "middle path" in three and four after the final restart on lap 18. 

The CLS buzz bombs actually ran as fast -- in terms of lap times -- as the 410 sprint cars most of the night. 

What's with the turn one stands? (Benches and walkways are gone.) Are they coming down altogether? 

Rumor in the stands concerning the turn one stands was that the supports were not up to code.  Not sure if they will be replaced, repaired or removed.  Great crowd and great show.  Did it ever get cold with the wind blowing most of the night.  Jimmy had to make money on the show and just maybe he will treat us to more than one race a year.  You can't beat the tight racing, the setting with the mountains on one side and the ocean on the other and the managments operation as a wonderful experence that I look forward too.  The entire show was over by 9:15
