I just read the story in SPEED SPORT about ELD and race car haulers.

I was just wondering if anyone has any advice or stories on what they have done to meet the new federal regulations.

They should have to have them as they travel from state to state, have air brakes so on & so forth. They are making people that haul livestock get them as well.

What was it about 15 years ago CHiPs was giving them a hard time ?

If they have more than 1 driver for truck each driver will have to be logged in & will alternate withinin the system wether or not they are driving, sleeper berth, off duty, on duty.

If they pass that milage tax crap all vehicles will have some kind of tracking device then.

simple to start with, electronic log books are not new. 11 hours a day is the max, paper log book also!  all drivers have more than one log book, i was a driver... so eld is new regulagtory practices bent on running truckers out of business then?  it's happening here in ca...

We have been talking about this very thing but more so of the big companies that have been using them to run out O/O & small trucking companies.

I never ran more than 1. Didn't have to with what I did.
