C&H Veteran Ent. presents Hunt Magnetos Wingless Tour ready for a Placerville Speedway showdown this Friday

Placerville, CA – August 22, 2017…Coming off a thrilling event at the Soares Classic two-weeks back the C&H Veteran Ent. presents Hunt Magnetos Wingless Tour is now set to head for the Placerville Speedway this Friday August 25.

Including this Friday there are just four events remaining in the 2017 season until the C&H Veteran Ent. presents Hunt Magnetos Wingless Tour crowns a champion. The Placerville Speedway plays host to a pair of races as the campaign winds down, with a return visit on Thursday September 21 to help open the Nor-Cal Posse Shootout.

“We’re excited to welcome the C&H Hunt Wingless Tour this Friday at Placerville Speedway,” said track promoter Scott Russell. “With the Elk Grove Ford Sprint Car Challenge Tour presented by Abreu Vineyards also on hand it makes for a perfect complement and should be a fun night. The wingless tour will also be back for the Posse Shootout and we’re really looking forward to that event as well.”

After this Friday’s outing the C&H Veteran Ent. presents Hunt Magnetos Wingless Tour will get ready for opening night of the Gold Cup Race of Champions on Wednesday September 6 at the Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico. Championship night will then take place on Friday November 3 during opening night of Tribute to Gary Patterson weekend at the Stockton Dirt Track.

Last time out on August 12 it was reigning champion Klint Simpson that edged out current point leader Austin Liggett to win an exciting feature at the Petaluma Speedway. It marked the third victory of the season for Simpson, which also matches Liggett for the most wins this year. The first event at the Placerville Speedway in April was captured by Simpson, who looks to chip away at Liggett’s point lead come Friday.

Casey McClain has one win to his credit this season and had a solid outing at the Placerville Speedway in April. The Palo Cedro driver will look to park it on the front stretch this Friday evening. More drivers expected Friday will include Troy Degaton, Cody Spencer, Terry Schank Jr., Scott Hall, Brent Steck, Sparky Howard, Chris Kerr, Nick Larson, Jimmy Christian, Barry Pries, Keith Calvino, Will Fatu, Ryan Siverling and more.

Adult tickets this Friday August 25 at the Placerville Speedway cost $20, while seniors 62 plus and juniors 12-15 will be $15, children 6-11 are $6 and those under 6 will be free. The pit gate will open at 2pm, with the front grandstand gate opening at 3pm. A full program of West Coast Race Parts qualifying, heat races, the Santamauro Racing Products dash and Pit Stop USA A-main will all be on tap.

A happy hour will be offered from 4pm-6pm in the grandstands featuring discounted Coors Light and Coors Original at the beer stand. Cars will be on track for wheel packing at 5pm, with qualifying scheduled to begin around 5:30pm and heat races expected to fire-off at 6:30pm.

The Placerville Speedway is located on the beautiful El Dorado County Fairgrounds in Placerville, California. Take Hwy US-50 to Forni Road/Placerville Drive exit.
