- SPRINT CAR BANDITS Points/Results after Rose Bowl Speedway

- ON DECK: $3,300 Possible Payday for AIR PERFORMANCE 40 at SUPERBOWL on SAT. AUGUST 26th

Congratulations once again to Dustin Gates on taking the win at Rose Bowl from the 4th starting position and for claiming back-to-back SCB series wins. Click https://www.facebook.com/RaceOnTexas/videos/816794748495539/ to view Dustin's post-race interview with Zach Clark.

And thanks once again to the Rose Bowl Speedway officials for sticking it out and getting the event in - with literally horrible weather conditions in the area. I guarantee you the SCB teams really appreciated the above-and-beyond effort as well. We look forward to the SCB series return there - under better weather conditions... wink

NEXT UP - the AIR PERFORMANCE 40 - SAT. AUG. 26:

Winners Share of $3,300 for 'Air Performance 40' NCRA Sprint Car Bandits Event at Superbowl - Sat. August 26th!

>>Note that the 8/25 SCB event at Wichita Speedway has been cancelled, as the track is closing for the balance of the 2017 racing season.<<

Greenville, TX (08/17/17) by DarinShort.com. The Sprint Car Bandits series NCRA Sprint Car Bandits (SCB) series presented by Blaine's Motor Supply has saved the biggest race of the series for the last stop of the season at Superbowl Speedway near Greenville Texas on Saturday, August 26th with the running of the Air Performance 40 presented by Spellbound Boutiques, both of Rockwall Texas. Visit www.AirPerformanceDFW.com and www.SpellboundBoutiques.com for more information on each of these great supporters of sprint car racing. This unique event will reward the winning driver with up to $3,300 cash for their efforts.

The event will pay $2,000 to the 40-lap feature winner, $1,000 for second place and pays down generously to $300 to start (see below for complete breakdown). All non-qualifiers or non-starters will each receive $100. There is no entry fee, no series membership fee and just a $15 nightly draw fee.

Here's where things get really interesting on August 26th. Instead of the normal 25-lap A-feature, it will be extended to 40 laps. A minimum of $1,800 cash, in addition, will be paid out in bonus money that night to drivers that have raced at least one time in the Sprint Car Bandits series the past two seasons!

AT THE TIME OF WRITING, the leader of laps 26-28 and lap 30 will each receive $50; and the leader of lap 29, plus 31-40 will each receive $100...that's a total of $1,300! $1,000 of this total is sponsored by www.AirPerformanceDFW.com of Rockwall - and the other $300 cash is from a silent sponsor from the racing industry that wishes to remain anonymous.

PLUS there will be MYSTERY CASH awards totaling $500 going out to SCB drivers in the A-feature. This $500 sponsorship is from SpellBoundBoutiques.com of Rockwall. The actual Mystery Cash awards will be announced to the fans during the A-feature, so fans will know what the awards will be - but the drivers won't know until after the race is completed! (So no one can intentionally try to win the Mystery Cash amounts.) The only advance clue to the drivers is that finishing the 40 laps may end up being more rewarding to you.

PLUS, if you would like to sponsor any of the laps 1 through 25, we have decided to open them up as well, to build to this initial posted amount. Just email Darin at [email protected] with the lap(s) you would like to sponsor along with your contact/business information. Cash is due at the track on race day prior to the start of the event (give to Steve). Even if you're a driver and you want to sponsor your car number's lap in the feature, that works too!

Lap leader sponsors are $50 or $100/lap. It's your choice.

Again, all posted bonus awards will be distributed to drivers that have competed in the Sprint Car Bandits series at least once in 2016 or 2017, so if the leader happens to not be a SCB driver, it will go to the next eligible SCB driver in the running order. Any new series driver will compete for the full posted purse of $2,000 to win and $300 to start. So if you are a new SCB series driver, I would highly suggest you race the SCB event previous night at Wichita Speedway so you're eligible for the $1,800 in bonus cash at Superbowl.

Superbowl Speedway is located at 437 FM 1903 Greenville, TX and is quite easy to get to. Take the 'FM 1903' exit off of I-30 (exit 87, about 45 miles from downtown Dallas), then head east 3 miles and you will run into the track. The main entrance is first and is for race fans going to the stands. The second exit off of corner 4 is for the pit entrance. On race day, the track phone number is (903) 883-2504 or click

http://www.facebook.com/superbowlspeedway for the track Facebook page. The first green flag on Saturday August 26th is slated for 8pm. Superbowl Speedway divisions will round out the full night of racing.

40-lap SCB feature race payback for Saturday, June 26th: $2,000, $1,000, $600, $500, $400, $390, $380, $370, $360, $350, $340, $330, $320, $310, $300, $300, $300, $300, $300, $300. $100 for non-qualifiers or non-starters. $1,800 in bonus cash will be distributed to teams that have competed at least once with the SCB in 2016 or 2017. No entry fee or series membership fee; $15 draw-in fee.

As a reminder, previously our draw-in rules have changed for 2017. Now all sprint car teams that sign in will draw for heat race starting positions, regardless of their engine C.I. displacement (maximum 360), and will receive passing points to determine their straight-up from points feature race starting position. All drivers make sure to read/adhere to the posted rules at the series website prior to heading to the track.

We would like to thank the sponsors of the Sprint Car Bandits series: Blaine's Motor Supply, Rodd Hanna's Air Performance, A&M Glass Service, Palm Harbor Homes, Kustom Craft, Gen-Tech at FixYourGenerator.com, The Oil Medics, Mow Time in Farmersville, Griffith Trucking Equipment, PRO-TECH Service Company, Simpson Race Products, Ultra Shield Race Products, Lightning Wings, Rod End Supply, Spellbound Boutiques of Rockwall and DarinShort.com.

With each SCB sponsor announcement, the series can continue to implement one of its primary missions, and that is adding to the already excellent competitor purses...if you noticed, the SCB 2016 minimum guaranteed purse was $1,200 to win and $300 to start - yet every event paid more than that. Our 2017 purse is already guaranteed to be $2,000 to win and $300/start at all events - all due to these sponsorship commitments!

If your business is interested in getting involved with the SCB series, please contact Steve Lang directly at: [email protected] or by calling 469-474-8234. There are effective programs available for all sizes of budgets.

The SCB series has a unique rules package that allows teams to use their current equipment (especially in the engine compartment), yet curbing nightly tire expense...which helps equalize the competition, with teams of varying budget sizes.

That rules package certainly has the vote of many of the drivers in the DFW area, as so far 65 have competed with the series in 2017. Series rules are posted at the link below and will be followed at each SCB event, so make sure your car is compliant before arriving at the track.

Between the lower operating cost of the SCB series and the addition of sponsor funds into nightly purses, it is allowing more area race tracks to book events - which all translates into DFW area fans getting to see quality sprint car race at a lower grandstand ticket price.

When you combine those components with lower nightly competitor operating purses, it all equals one thing: the new Sprint Car Bandits series!

Click www.SprintCarBandits.com or go to @SprintCarBandits on Facebook for the latest in series news - including the event flyer for Superbowl Speedway on August 26th.
