Out of the above list definitely Jac. It doesn't seem like they're in a hurry to move on from him.

Gio has shown inceredible talent out here and is definitely a shoe. Having said that, nobody, and I mean nobody should make their first start at Knoxville any time between Thursday of the 360 Nationals, and Saturday of the 410 Nationals. Baby steps when it comes to Knoxville. Going to Knoxville with big HP and all your light weight stuff, and watching guys blow by you at seemingly twice the speed, isn't exactly a confidence booster. Just my opinion of course but Knoxville is a different beast.

By FAR the most successful Knoxville driver on that list is Danny Lasoski. And Lasoski can still wheel a first rate sprint car against the best! I do think that they will keep Jac in the car, though. I also doubt the #17 car has the muster to run up front in the Nationals. But, unlike a blind squirrel that finds a nut now and then, the right combination of driver and set up could put a car up front at any given time.

Is Sammy Swindell planning on racing the Nationals? Haven't heard his name much this year.
I would never count Sammy out.

Only a month away so I wouldn't expect them to hire a new driver just to run the Nats unless maybe they could interest the Dude in running their car. I expect Jac to be in it and a strong C-main run.

Jac will be in the seat. I will say this much if Lasoski would get the call Jac would be moving on.

Haha, couldn't agree more. JMO but I don't really think they let Joey go on performance. New team first year top ten in points, and get let go half way through the season?? Than replace him with JAC?(which I have always been a fan of JAC, but really) If it was performance there sub driver selection just dosent suggest that. I would say a clash of personalities or something along them lines is more likely.

Joey Saldana's Final 10 Races in the SJW #17
5/29 Started 8th finished 15th
6/1 Started 10th finished 14th
6/2 Started 3rd finished 9th
6/3 Started 5th finished 6th
6/9 Started 7th finished 12th
6/10 Started 9th finished 11th
6/13 Started 10th finished 9th (only race he passed a car also and it was one)
6/16 Started 4th finished 5th
6/20 Started 3rd finished 10th
The car seems pretty consistently going the wrong way no matter who's in it. Starting to think people who thought it was a crew/car issue may have been right. I think more what the person who said it's the only logical option is getting at is it's asinine to try and replace a driver amidst the month of money. Especially if it's a young driver with potential that needs time to grow. Most of the drivers listed up there already have a ride they're planning on running at knoxville so it's kind of a moot point anyways.

When they let Joey go, I wasn't shocked. I wasn't shocked when they put Jac in the seat either---temporarily. However, I am shocked they still had him in the seat after 10 races. To go from a driver who has not performed well with the Outlaws over the last 2 or 3 years to a driver that has not performed well against the Outlaws in the last 10, makes no sense to me.
If you're not going to sign a young gun to run the remainder of the season, why not let Joey finish it and see what he can do? Re-group and see what is available in November and December.

I'm not gonna complain too much though. It's nice to see Jac on the tour even if it's temporary. I enjoyed watching him run the 6 locally but it's cool to see him back out there again.
