I see the performance of the 82 car has declined since Cap Henry left the ride. Dollansky missed both features at Cedar Lake. Meanwhile Cap jumped in an unfamiliar car and went from 10th to win at Fremont Saturday night. Where are the folks who tried to say the 82 car is a WoO quality ride? It seems the 82 and the 17 are in the running for most overestimated rides out there.

Either team is willing to spend/has the budget to be a WoO quality ride. That doesnt mean they have the know how.

Though let's not forget the 17 team is a brand new team (yes the crew, drivers, etc. have been around a while, but the TEAM is new...and that's good for sprint car racing).

Call me a snow flake all you want but I really could have used a trigger warning for this post. Terrifying.

Thanks,

Jeff.

You change that support division to E-mods without the 2 spin rule and you have my worst nightmare.

But I'm actually down with Minthess and his whole vibe.

Was there at Fremont and Cap did a hell of a job. Came from tenth to win. He'd had I believe two races in the Lane Racing #4 before this win. Cap said in interview that two weeks ago the Lane's didn't even knew who he was and now he's got a win with them. Sounded glad to be back home too.

Isn't the SJW #17 basically the same team that BC drove for last year, just with Stenhouse added as an additional owner?  That wouldn't really make it a new team, just a team that still exists (which itself is a good thing also).

Somewhat but it's more piecemeal.  Stenhouse joining Matt Wood for ownership (plus help from Richard Marshall and Dennis Roth) but new Crew Chief in Swank, I believe Chris Bowe was not with team last year so he's new too.  Adam Clark was with Wood Racing with BC if I remember correctly.  Plus new driver (obviously since has been fired) and new equipment, rigs, etc.  So pretty close to a brand new team even though there are and were some pieces that began forming last year.

Dusty Zomer will be back in the car tonight in Sioux center and possibly the weekend! Still seems like it's his ride if he wants it!

it's been his ride if he wants it all year long from my understanding and they have been trying to get him behind the wheel multiple times this season.

Speaking of which, holy shit Richard Marshall has been spending a fortune on racing.

I second this! Very talented and love seeing him in a sprint car! Now that he has been in the car a little maybe he will get the itch to jump back in it

I know right.  Either via owner interest or sponsorship stuff, dude's everywhere...glad to have someone with deep pockets like him involved with sprint car racing.

Dusty has a heck of a night last night in Sioux center ended with a DNF but was much better than that! At one point he slid mccarl for the lead and then something happened with the motor not sure exactly what! Also talked to some sources close to Dusty and it sounds like he's your guy for the Nationals they would not comfirm or deny but it sure sounds like he's going to be in it

At Casino Speedway a few weeks ago where Thomas Kennedy ran 2nd in the BWW #82 (360), the owner confirmed to me that Thomas was schedulded to be in the car through the WoO Dakota State Fair Speeway event (7/1).  At which point, Dusty would be back in the #82 through the Nationals.

Thanx,

Dusty also told me himself that it's been nice to have some weekends off and take a break! He said it was his choice to run in Sioux center last night said he likes the track and that he was taking the rest of the weekend off
