Hello, I am attending these Ohio Speedweek Shows along with my eight-year-old daughter and we have never been to these tracks. Can anyone give us any advice about the tracks and the area? Are there any places that we should eat or visit between shows. Any help is appreciated.

Waynesfield is in the middle of nowhere but Lima is about 20 miles away, plenty of good places to eat there. I'd advise getting there early, it's a relatively small grandstand and it fills up quick for that show.

Wayne County, much bigger grandstand and I think it'll be a later arriving crowd given it's a weeknight.

If you like the movie The Shawshank Redemption, the prison where they filmed it is not too far away from Wayne County in Mansfield if you have the day off. Took a tour one day before going to a race at Wayne County and it was pretty cool. The town of Wooster is on the way to Wayne County as well as the College so some nice Pizza places on the way.

I have not been to Waynesfield, I cannot really believe I have not been there, I may get there Sunday time will tell.

I live in Canton about 25 minutes from Wayne County and I also take my daughter, although 16 to the races all the time. I don’t know where you might stay but Muddy’s in Wooster is a great place to eat.  There are also great Amish places along rt30 around the Dalton area just east of the exit for the track. The Dalton Dairette is a great Ice Cream place. There are also a few more eating options around Massillon which is about 15 miles from the track.

I would say come on over to Canton and hit up the Pro Football Hall of Fame but I am sure your daughter will not be happy and you might not have time to see all of it.

You will leave Wayne County dirty, no matter where you sit. When I sit in the stands I usually sit towards turn 1 past the flagman. Stuff seems to happen in turn 1 a little more than 3 and lets be honest, your daughter wants to see the stuff that happens!

Wayne County is DIRTY... Don't forget your safety glasses! I have never seen an A main with that much dirt/clay in the air!
