Well I will tell ya ive always been amazed at firefighthers and safety crews that run into fires to save lives when natural instinct tells you to get the hell out of there they are true heroes. I think its awesome that Brent Kaeding and others along with the safety crew that saved Donny much like back in 1992 when it took Steve Beitler, Mark Kinser and Lee Brewer Jr. among others to pull Doug Wolfgang out of his horrific crash and burn in KC. I think of all the scariest threats of any crash is fire even in normal day traffic accidents. Its one thing to have friendly rivalries but you never wanna see anyone in racing get hurt thats for sure I have respect for all drivers and it makes racing more interesting to have your heroes and villans. Not to throw dynamite on a situation but if you can look at that clip on Youtube It really gets me and others wondering what the hell was in that methanol that would light off like it did in this case?? that was one hot fire I thought methanol was used because it wasnt explosive like gasoline?? You see flames like that in blower explosions In drag racing where nitro is legal. Could have been a freak deal but makes a person wonder maybe the brains at Court TV can get to the bottom of it
That was my footage in that YouTube clip. Court TV used mine and the footage that was shot by the guy standing next to me. They sent people out to interview Brent and Donny. I have never seen anything like that crash. Donny was back racing two days later. He was leading the points with the WoO at the time.
