I thought the reason Dobs gave Dave Lunstra for leaving was something like, too much traveling, which was pretty much Knoxville, Sioux Falls, Grand Forks, Cedar Lake, Jackson Motorplex for Lunstra with a few longer trips. This year he raced 4 or 5 times in Florida during speedweeks, went to Vegas to race with the WoO, often at Jackson, weekly (almost) at River Cities in Grand Forks and Husets again pretty often. Maybe he was tired of splitting the money with Lunstra and now with the family operation, is winning a lot of money and no owner to split with or be responsible to. Maybe I heard wrong, but on this message board they talked about "too much traveling and not enough time with family". He's had a great year thus far and hope he keeps running up front whereever he goes.
Lawlessness and liberalism equals Hell. NY City,
Detroit, Seattle, Chicago, Minnepolis, etc. We saw it.
Burning hundreds of buildings, a thousand assaults and
dozens of murders. Getting worser and worser.

"Husets again pretty often" ? Does once and only once this year count as often?
You think he's now keeping all the money instead of splitting the money? His accomplishments should be held up as an example for all those who want to get into the get-rich-quick world of competitive 410 sprint car team ownership.

The biggest difference is - Mark has a much bigger say in choosing the racing schedule. Since leaving Lunstra he has been traveling quite a bit less and been able to spend more time with the family as a result. The winnings were never split when with Lunstra - all winnings went back into the race team. This is still the case with his current owner, but he has more freedom now with his schedule. And like Ford97 said, that split resulted in a 2nd team competing in the region - so the split was better for sprint car racing as a whole in the upper midwest.
