Elm Mott, TX (4/1/17) by DarinShort.com. The warm temps and high southern winds really did a number on corner 3-4 last night, but the NCRA Sprint Car Bandits presented by Blaine's Motor Supply teams made the best out of it, and lots of exciting racing took place at Heart o' Texas Speedway near Waco.

7th place starter Justin Melton tracked down race long feature event leader, Scott Bogucki of Mcclaren Vale, South Australia, and in lapped traffic snuck his way by to pick up the win.

Here is a video of the feature race courtesy of Don Cook that gives you a good feel of the tricky track conditions drivers overcame: https://youtu.be/Bm0BmrdX9H8

Tonight the SCB series moves northeast about 40 minutes northeast of downtown Dallas to Superbowl Speedway near Greenville Texas. Races start at 8pm and the forecast is DRY and 80 degrees, with little to no rain chances.

Click www.SuperbowlSpeedway.com for track information and www.SprintCarBandits.com for SCB event information.

And thank you to the great opening night crowd for the series at Heart o' Texas Speedway last night for your support!

SPECIAL THANKS to Eric Lawrence of Lawrence Towing (Mansfield, TX) for approaching us at the track with a $200 Hard Charger Award!

DJ Estes would take home the extra $200 for driving from 18th to 8th.

The $200 award continues for tonight as well at Superbowl! Cody Barksdale (OK) received the Simpson Racing Products Hard Luck Award (engine woes) and collected their $50 product certificate.

One other tidbit from last night, 2016 SCB champion Michael Lang dodged a spinning car on the opening lap of the feature, but stalled the car in the process, relegating him to a 21st place restart position. Michael would cruise the high side of corners 1-2 to pick off several cars throughout the event, eventually coming home with a solid 4th place finish.
