Has he been down there before? If not than unfamiliar track could be part of it. That and it's been pretty stiff competition down there, lot's of Outlaws and invaders (Madsens, Hodnett, etc) that went.

Agreed. Just look at the names present in the field each night. Just making the show should be considered a good night. The best of the best are pretty much all there.

Team Matus, Brent, Brandon, and John Garvin are not the fastest teams in the pits. They did make the commitment to run the Allstar schedule this year. You might read their names in alot of B main lineups but at least they are trying. I would hope over time the make it into more A mains and their finishes improve, so when you are at a Allstar show stop in their pits and let them know you apreciate there effort in running this series.

Agreed.  This is only Garvin's second year in a 410 Sprint (he's a former Super Late Model Driver).  He's got talent and definitely was not a squirrel last year, he kept his own and progressed through his first year in a sprint. Brandon does have an All Star win on his resume at Sharon a few year's back (during the Guy Webb era).  But polish2 is right here.  Nice people that work hard, so stop and say hey to them in the pits.

The problem is those cars are much slower than other cars and on a big track that could be a danger to other guys..

They should combine forces to a one car team.. Think garvin has some talant maybe just go with him.. When you just run around the back and can:t keep up , the good cars run right up on those guys.. They look like 305 out there.

Suppose that ability is why he was in Tony's car? And too, Tony's car isn't a regular run of the mill car.

Just curious what is different about Tony Stewart's car vs any of the other cars that are out there?

Other than a select group of competitors.....$$$$$$.....that does a lot in making a sprint car go. And when he puts someone other than himself in the car, he picks the top talent available.

So you are telling me, Tony Stewarts back up car out money'd everyone last night to go from 15th to 2nd? There are 20 other teams there that have a similar investment and resources that the 15 and the 14 cars, trailers, crew have. Are they spending a ton of money? Hell yeah, but I doubt they are outspending everyone in the pits. What about the 65 outlaw races that they didnt win last year?

Didn't say it was only money, but his cars did run 1st and 2nd. Smile And I doubt there are 20 teams that have the budget of Stewart, but I did say there are a select group of them. I think you'll find a good majority of them in last nights top 12. I also gave credit to the type of talent Stewart puts in the car....always the top talent available. As for the 65 WoO Features they didn't win last year....well let me say that even Kinser only won around 25% of the WoO Features he entered in his career. I doubt there is enough money anywhere to do much better than that. I do know it takes more than money, but without an ample supply of it, nobody wins multiple championships and titles on a national level against the best competition out there.

When is the last time you turned a lap of 14.298 at Volusia? Didn't think so. He's doing something that most only dream of doing and even the "slow" cars are going fast enough to make most of our asses pucker. Before you bash him, why don't you strap your ass in one and show him how it's done? I'll bet he's faster than you are.

What's your cut-off for number of teams that you allow?  Or do you just have a thing for this team?
