Maybe he realized that the competitive nature of driving a car may not be in his best interests when he also has to be the owner/administrator of the series.  I believe there was a "discussion" in the pits that night after the races with the 10h team and maybe Stewart realized that racing in a series he owns may cause a conflict of interest and more trouble then it would be worth.  I wish more promotors and children of promotors would realize this and not race at their own tracks.   Sometimes it only takes one incident to change perspective on something.  Or maybe he is second guessing his desire to run Sprint Cars anymore.  He did kind of have a life altering event occur in a sprint car, less than a year after he had been seriously injured in a one.  NOt something that you fully realized until you are behind the wheel again.  I guess we'll know if he stops running Sprints altogether or just stops running the All Star shows.

Also, if the only reason someone came to Bubba was to watch Stewart race then too bad.  Unless they are paying a driver an appearance fee, that driver has no obligation to run that particular race.    It's not like this hasn't happened at Bubba before, such as a couple of years ago when they advertised that a bunch of the WoO guys were racing, but the surface wasn't up to par and most of them loaded up and left and didn't come back the rest of the weekend.  The show was not going to be significantly better or worse with Stewart racing in it.

Per the USA Today, Stewart was pissed at Chad Kemenah for something (blocking, I think it said). The article said Stewart drove through the pits to "confront Kemenah".

FFS, that didn't take long - a race or two into his return to sprint cars and he's already fighting with fellow drivers.

I bet a lot of fans were not happy? So he owes it to every there to race? This is why I don't think he should release a schedule so people can't bitch about not showing up to a place that he doesn't want to race at or decides to change his plans.

I'll support him in whatever he does as Smoke's a huge contributor to sprint car racing, some of it public, some of it not.

He needs to go back to being Smoke Jackson and travel in an unmarked trailer and just show up to race when he wants to without any announced schedule.  It is probably not in his best interest to race any All Star races.

Wow reporters must work for CNN.  Chad questioned the line up and was making it three wide on the start.   Tony was nice enough to give Chad the spot!!!!!  Tony questioned it after the race.  Tony Stewart is a close friend of the Kemenahs and can ask us anything.   Tony has help me more than I can tell you and is a great friend to me and my family.  When I was going thru hard times he was the guy who cared enought to get me thru it.  I'm glad Chad and Tony weren't kissing after the race because I like my driver tough.   This is a dirt sport not a ball dance.  Change the tires, fuel the cars and lets race!

Rob, first, congratulations on winning the 2016 All Star champioship. Second, thank you for putting a car on the track (I thank Ray Marshall everytime I see him in the pits at Waynesfield for putting his cars on the track - probably thinks I'm some crazy person who keeps repeating themselves!).

If we're CNN, then I'm going to put my Jake Tapper hat on (though I can't stand Tapper and CNN right now) - in your opinion, should an owner of a series race in that series? I understand this series owner is running for points in 2017, but two nights into the season we have a little controversy already. I'm not a hater of this guy - I'm glad to see him out of the NASCAR (aka WWE) circus and back with us.

Thanks - good luck to you, Chad, and your team in 2017.

Hang on just a second here Mr. larsonfan.  The car owner literally came on here and told you there was no controversy and no one being mad.  There was NO CONFRONTATION, do you get that?  Do you realize that you are quoting the USA today?  When have they EVER been interested in dirt track racing?  Do you literally think they had a reporter there that night?  Your comments, arguments and thoughts are so far from the truth (confirmed by the car owner himself) and yet you are here trying to put some sort of mystical spin on what really (or should we say didn't) happened?  You may say your not a hater, but I was taught if it looks like something and smells like something, then it probably is something.  Do us a favor will ya?  Read the facts that Mr. Hunter shared, try to comprehend what he said and move along.  This story, which really isn't a story, is over.

Thank you for your comments on our team.  As all fans are welcome to, but please stop by and talk to us at any race.   As for my CNN comment I did not mean it toward anyone here just the writers that make up crap to get a story.

As for Tony racing the All Star here is my two cents:

Absolutely, it will only make us all better racers.  Tony will talk to anyone and all drivers can learn from his experience.  He will be tough to beat and will make my team faster as Dale Blaney made us faster.  We could not make a race at  Eldora 2 years ago and we found a way to get faster (we had too).  I'm lucky because Brian Kemenah is just simply one of the best and Chad is just as good.  Last year Tony and Janet Holbrook coached me as an owner and they helped me so much.  Tony will coach these drivers if they so chose to ask him.  Ask any All Star member past or present and I bet you get similar response.  As a fan, I can't wait to see my car race Tony, I'll be smiling win or lose!

This is a neat side note.  When we won the Outlaw show Tony was the first to call me and when we ran back to back seconds at Eldora he was the first to call.  Its cool to finish in front of the 15 car because its almost impossible.  Tony will make us all better All Stars and the fans will love it.

See you at the track!

Also remember Smoke has the unbearable burden of trying to get a 410 Ford with valves placed in a perfectly average fashion to at least finish hot laps by 2018.  All jokes aside, the guy has more on his plate than we have in our deep freeze.

Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?
