Looking forward to a great night of racing Scott, and welcoming RacinBoys back to LoneStar Speedway!

Here are the event details for everyone coming - or listening in:

Insider note: Roger Hadan (RaceSaver Sprint Car Series & Eagle Raceway owner) will be on hand to visit with sprint car drivers and enjoy the first RaceSaver national points race of the season. (RaceSaver teams: make sure to read our tech bulletin posted yesterday at the LoneStar Speedway Facebook page and at the 'In/Out Box' forum at www.ElbowsUp.com .)

We've got lots of fun things going on, including a Valentine's Special at the concession stand that includes two big cheeseburgers and two soft drinks for $10.

IRP Race Cars is giving away two embroidered hats as a part of the 50/50 drawings.

OPEN PRACTICE TONIGHT for any dirt track racing division from 7pm-10pm; all pit passes all ages are $15, granstands are free.

RACES START EARLY on SAT. FEB. 11 - Draw Cutoff at 5:15pm with cars hitting the track at 6pm (which coincides with the sun going down at 6:02pm)

FORECAST shows dry and low 70's for tonight's practice, and 78 degrees tomorrow dropping down to 69 by the time of the final checkers - great racing weather for sure! Winds out of the SSW, which is to your back in the grandstands.

SEASON GRANDSTAND PASSES ARE ON SALE FOR 50% OFF! Click www.LoneStarSpeedway.com for details...this deal is nuts! You can get in to 17 nights of racing at LoneStar for about $8!

Here are the RACE WEEK updates for this event, along with the event flyer - and if you can't be here to watch this fun and exciting event, tune into RacinBoys instead!

IT'S (FINALLY!) RACE WEEK! 3rd LoneStar SPRINT SMACKDOWN & Bumped-Up LONESTAR SPEEDWAY SEASON POINTS OPENER - THIS SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 11th at 6PM!

Kilgore, TX (02/06/17) by DarinShort.com. The 70' wide expanses of LoneStar Speedway hosted several phenomenal racing events in 2016. Nightly there was side-by-side racing, drivers coming from the back to win, wild finishes - and the new season fires up THIS SATURDAY night, February 11th at 6pm; when fans will be treated to a huge night of racing: the 3rd Annual SPRINT SMACKDOWN and bumped-up LONESTAR SPEEDWAY SEASON POINTS OPENER.

Here are complete details:

REMINDER: The open practice night (for any dirt track racing division) is THIS Friday Feb 10 from 7-10pm (night before the race). This will allow race teams to shake down their new cars under race night conditions. All pit passes all ages will be $15 on Feb 10th. Grandstand viewing is free. As of Monday afternoon, NOAA is currently showing sunny and 70° for a daytime high.

Racing action fires off Saturday February 11th at 6PM. (The sun goes down at 6:02pm, which will coincide perfectly.)

The Pit Gate will open by 3pm, while the main grandstand area will open by 4:30pm. The driver's draw cut-off for heat races is 5:15pm, with a driver's meeting set for 5:45pm. Hot laps will fire off at 6pm with racing to follow immediately.

NOAA is currently showing a daytime high 76° and temps in the upper 60's by the final checkers on race day - which will be amazing. Hopefully that trend turns to reality on race day.

Adult grandstand general admission (ages 12-64) to this massive event is just $15! Ages 6-11 are $5, while ages 65+ and military will be $12. All pit passes for all ages are $35.

A JUMBO-SIZED competitor purse is slated in all racing divisions, and the breakdown is as follows:

SPRINT CARS (note that we chose to add more purse in the middle of the field instead of putting it all on top, so it benefits more race teams): $1,200/win - $800 - $600 - $550 - $500 (5th) - $450 - $400 - $350 - $320 - $300 (10th) - $280 - $260 - $240 - $220 - $200 (to 24th...not 20th!).

All sprint car NQ's or Non-Starters will receive $100. Sprint Car heats will include passing points which will determine the feature lineups...straight up by points. Rules at www.RaceSaver.com and www.LoneStarSpeedway.com for track general rules. This is an IMCA sanctioned points event, as it was the past two years.
