Anybody heard anything on Joey? I thought maybe he would end up in the Wood car but haven't heard anything lately.

SpcJay posted the Saldana to 17w with All Stars rumor numerous times over the last several weeks on various posts...so here's his credit for having the initial thought/rumor/whatever...

17w team has been running a true outlaw schedule, with pretty good success, why change?

They had a good portion of success with Kerry Madsen at the wheel and he's no longer available. So change is on the horizon. Success will still be contigent on having a driver that is capable of winning against the best if they choose to run a similar schedule as last year.

has 17w made it known that they are planning to continue racing the same type of schedule? It's possible I missed something, but I know I heard from a decent source back in semoreover that they were planning to slow down quite a bit moving forward. Could be wrong though.

Joey will be in the 17 next year along with Tyler Swank as his crew chief running with the world of outlaws
also they will have a new partner teaming up in owning the team and it's a NASCAR driver.

Don't be ridiculous. Couldn't be Cole Trickle, has to be Ricky Bobby....

I was giving that idea some thought the other day, but thought, "Nah. No way.... Can't possibly..."
If that's the case, that will be nice to see.

I thought he had permanent condition from the wreck in Knoxville. He certainly didn't look like he wanted to run too hard in the Rahmer race at Lincoln last year but there could have been many reasons for that. Someone on the Zemco team told me a while back that he wanted to come back after the wreck but the team didn't want to take that risk because of the head injury. Again, this is not fact and could all be dumb rumors but it was what I heard.

Agree WOULD BE GREAT TO SEE THEJjET COME BACK ,BUT IT HAS BEEN A LONG TIME, John and Pee Wee are usually at Port even when they dont race I would think for a part time deal it has to be either S. Smith or Dewease thinking about comebacks how about Mr. Excitement.

I just hope they remember Joey is only a title contender with something other than a chev under the hood.
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

I also have to wonder if Stenhouse knows that former RoushYates Fords of Richards, Bloomquist, Dover etc currently humiliate all comers in their respective dirt series.
