All Four NCRA Divisions Ready for Season Point Finale!

Park City, Kansas – October 10, 2016 - A season-long chase for the 2016 title for all four National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products divisions comes to an end on Saturday night, October 22, at Salina Speedway in Salina, Kansas.

This huge one-night event will be the first time in series history that all four NCRA divisions will end their season away from their home track of 81 Speedway in Park City in an event that will be promoted by Speedway’s Inc.

Below is a brief overview of the current point standings for the series sprint, modified, crate late model and mod-lite divisions with drivers throughout each looking to solidify their top ten standings and be invited to the series season-ending banquet in January.

Sprints: Having led most of the 2016 race season, Nebraska’s Don Droud, Jr. has the Ochs Brothers #1x top the point standings and a slim fifteen-point lead over six-time and defending tour champion C.J. Johnson. Droud has amassed three feature victories on the season while Johnson’ consistency has him second in the standings despite being winless thus far this season. Not to be forgot, Jeremy Campbell will come into championship night with a two-race win streak and just 150-points out of the lead.

Current NCRA Sprint Point Standings: 1) Don Droud, Jr. 3155, 2) C.J. Johnson 3140, 3) Jeremy Campbell 3005, 4) Jon Freeman 2765, 5) Ray Seeman 2680, 6) Jeff Stasa 2650, 7) J.D. Johnson 2455, 8) Danny Wood 2310, 9) Jake Greider and Forrest Southerland 2275

Modifieds: For the sixth year in a row the division point championship will be decided at the last race of the season. This year finds Scott Green the point leader in his quest for his first-ever championship. Green comes into the final night with a slim 25-point lead over two-time and defending tour champion Dan Powers. Green has gone winless while Powers has one victory on the season. Not to be counted out, Josh Lanterman sits third in the standings and 150-points out of the lead.

Current NCRA Modified Point Standings: 1) Scott Green 2365, 2) Dan Powers 2340, 3) Josh Lanterman 2210, 4) Brian Franz 2160, 5) Jason McGehee 2125, 6) Tyler Davis 2015, 7) Ryan McAninch, 1855, 8) Kyler Kemp 1740, 9) Clint McFadden 1695, 10) Ross Shipman 1690

Crate Late Models: While anything can happen, and generally does, Chris Kratzer is on the verge of locking up his second straight series championship and is first outright. He will go into the final point night with a 145-point lead over former champion and late model veteran Delbert Smith while Dusty Leonard sits just 165-points out of the lead.

Current NCRA Crate Late Model Point Standings: 1) Chris Kratzer 3165, 23) Delbert Smith 3020, 3) Dusty Leonard 3000, 4) Rob Day 2765, 5) Daniel Smith 2755, 6) Jimmy Segraves 2715, 7) Ryan Grit 2545, 8) Lyle Shepard 2475, 9) Adam Popp 1745, 10) Robert Shepard 1685

Mod-Lites: While defending champion Justin Kinderknecht has wrapped up the victories during the 2016 race season, a good-solid car count for the season finale could make things interesting for the championship as Dustin Forsberg sits just 55-points behind.

Current NCRA Mod-Lite Point Standings: 1) Justin Kinderknecht 2285, 2) Dustin Forsberg 2230, 3) Ryan Ayers 2115, 4) Brandon Gray 2095, 5) Trace Ayers 1965, 6) Cody Kretchmar 1915, 7) Owen Edwards 1645, 8) Bryan Ward 1465, 9) Drew Hilt 1370, 10) Jeremy Heim 1330
