There are only two more Sprint Car races at I-80 Speedway during the 2016 racing season. First, on Friday, August 26 the Nebraska 360 Sprint Cars will be racing as part of the Speedy Bill Memorial. They will be racing for the standard Nebraska 360 purse of $1,000 to win and $350 to start. There is a $40 Pre entry on the I-80 website or $50 at the gate but ALL ENTRANTS receive a $50 gift certificate from Speedway Motors.
Then on Saturday, October 1 its Casey's General Store's Midwest Fall Brawl V an ASCS National/Nebraska 360 co-sanctioed event paying $6,000 to win and $500 to start. The 35 lap main event will also pay out $100 per lap with first place on each lap receiving $50, second place $30 and third place $20.
The event will also have a unique format that has been very successful at I-80's Silver Dollar Nationals. Each driver will run two heat races. The first heat will be lined up by the draw and the next heat that a driver is in, they will start exactly opposite of how they started their first heat (Example: If you start your first heat on the pole, you start your second heat dead last).
The top 16 in passing points from the double heats will qualify for the A feature. 7th thru 16th will then run a six-lap position race with the top 4 finishers to join the top six qualifiers in a fast dash. The finish of the fast dash will set the top ten spots in the feature. The position race will determine starting positions 11 through 16 in the feature.
