Any StreetStock results

1.) Chris Dawson TX

2.) Rod Bacon? 07 from KS. (Sorry if this is incorrect he was fast all weekend but I never could hear his name clearly over the PA.)

3.) Adam Schragg KS

4.)Chad McNamara OK

5.) Travis Johnson OK

6.) Dee Gossett TX

Great racing all weekend.

Rod Bacon lead the majority of the A main. He appeared to be untouchable as he ran away from the field. Chris Dawson who came up from the B main and started fairly deep in the field slowly worked his way up to the front picking off car after car. Bacon and Dawson both pulled away from the rest of the field and when Bacon got in to traffic Dawson took advantage of it and made a move for the lead. On the last lap Dawson got hung up in traffic and Bacon closed back in but couldn't find a line around Dawson. Dawson crossed the finish line first with Bacon hot on his tail.

On a side note. While Chris Dawson came away $10,000 richer... his sister won a huge 50/50 pot and came away with over $1,000 (they were saying $2,000 but I think that was all together not split). What are the odds of that. Ha ha.

I was impressed. The promoter did a great job. They stuck to and enforced their rules and did so fairly and when a scoring mistake was made on the final transfer position in the A-main. The promoter made a bold move and let two extra cars run the A-main (an extra $2,000 that they had to pay out) rather than send them back to the pits after being told they had made the show. Thats the kind of honesty and good will that will keep racers coming back.

I'm already looking forward to next year!

I like dirt!
