Anything further on this? He's been fairly fast lately, It'd be good to see him stay on the track.

As of Saturday when I spoke with him in the pits he said that was their last race in the #55 unless they can get sponsors or someone to take ownership of the team. Current owner (Barry Lewis) is going back to Austraila to restucture his business and has to sell the team to head back. Tatnell does have a car he races in Minnesota but the motor would not compete at Knoxville. Sad thing is, he's 4th in points at Knoxville and has been close several times to victory.

Is that the 14 car you are referring too? Regardless, it sucks for him. Super nice guy.

Dwayne Nelsen (SP) I think is the owner of the 14 car. Nice bunch of people. With the passing of SK last weekend in Australia it looks like a lot of things are in limbo for Brooke. He seems like a really down to earth guy, I hope he can find a ride soon.

I wasn't paying close enough attention listening to the radio broadcast when they were talking about it. Sounds like this sat. could be the last???? Hell of a nice guy & great ambassador for the sport....

I hate to see this car go away. Brooke has shown a lot of speed in it this year, but just seems to get out run when it comes to horsepower. Multiple times on the radio this year, Brooke has talked about the difficulty of having all of your main source of money come from Australia since the Australian dollar doesn't have as much value in America and getting beat out by the "cubic dollars" of the other teams. It's too bad. That number 55 is also one of the prettiest race cars I've seen this year (I'm a sucker for gold leaf numbers).

The Nelson #14 is a 360. They run a limited schedule of local races up here in Minnesota and have run the 360 Nationals and some of the Jackson races.
It's really too bad this had to happen because he has been having a decent year.

This is really a shame. Brooke has looked so much better this year and with the additional sponsorships, I was looking forward to a strong finish. Bummer. Really would like to see some one pick up the team, but finding owners is not an easy task at any time, especially in the middle of the season.

I hope this is not fact, Brooke is a great racer, love to see him at Knoxville his car owner has a brother I think but his owner has a family some ones has run the dealerships over there, maybe they can Let him finish out the year at Knoxville plus maybe tk concrete will step up and keep it going, bottom line is I hope he can race and Knoxville really can't loose more cars, plus the owner also owns his Aussie ride so it hurts Brooke on both sides of the world

The car he races in Minnesota is for Duane Nelson and it is a 360.

Tony Vermeer has stepped in and bought the team. Glad to see that Brooke and that car will stay on the track!

That is GREAT news! We sat next to Brooke and his family one of the qualifying nights at the Nationals a couple years ago. Super nice people. The #55 has been around a long time so it's nice that it will continue to be, and hopefully with Brooke behind the wheel for several more years.

Really glad that something worked out for him! His family is super nice, sat next to them a few years back at the Jerry Richert memorial. I believe it was the year he flipped on the backstretch. Overall, good things happen to good people.
