I cannot believe that the the race's get over nearly at midnight, then they were going to have a big party in the pits.

It is sad that the races get over that late, for any family that brought kids along they would be home and in bed before the races ended.

My feelings are this: The total car count at Knoxville and Badlands had to be pretty close, Knoxville ended at 10 PM, and BMS ends at midnight. I live 45 miles from Brandon and would be home about 1.5 to 2 hours later if I would have went to Knoxville vs. Badlands (I did not go to either race, only listened to Knoxville on KNIA). I figure this; If i leave Knoxville by 10 PM, 5 hours later is 3 AM. At Badlands races end at 12 AM atleast an hour to get to my vehicle and out of the parking lot then a 40 minute drive home. That means I am at home at 1:45 or 2:00 depending on traffic. I know where I would rather be on a Saturday night The Sprint Car Capitol of World not some wanna be Top Facility in the Nation. They have a very long way to go to get even close to Knoxville.

I will even drive to Jackson on a Saturday to watch the IMCA show before I go to Badlands.

Another issue is the concessions, I heard they are over priced, and service is terrible. I seen a picture last night from a friend of nachos with cheese in a small basket, and for the amount of cheese on them they could have just given people a basket of chips for $5.50, if you want meat on your nachos that will set you back $9.00. I don't know the price at Knoxville only because I have only had the legendary pork fritter.

Appearently you haven't been to Badlands, so you have no reason to complain. If you haven't been there you have no reason to complain..Once you are at Badlands you can complain of praise, but don't go off of hear say from buddies Or people off of this message board.

Enjoy your 5 hour ride home from Knoxville...I've done that a thousand times and it sucks no matter how you look at it.. So make the trip to Badlands for a night and experience it...Don't get me wrong, I love Knoxville and have been going there along time and it is still my favorite track..But Badlands is close to home and I like it, give it time..

Some of you haters on here need to change your diapers because you cry to much, if your diapers aren't full, then go buy some vagisil because you people whine like a girl..

Fast well run shows take cooperation from everyone involved. The master of well run programs is Robert Lawton in Boone Iowa. They dont run sprints but wait for no one and dont use the yellow flag much.I talked to fellow that lives close to Badlands and He was positive about everything that has been done and it will take awhile to get the bugs worked out but without question Todd and Chuck have improved the purse for the 410 and 360 drivers which needed to be done.We are lucky to have two guys that dont rely on their backgate to survive.Knoxville has got a promoter in Kendra that is working to better their track which has improved  also but will always be #1 from tradition alone and the Nationals which helps subsidize their weekly program.

Thanks for sharing what if, scenarios. How about leaving your house and going to a race before weighing in on which scenario is best for you or anyone else. Pretty easy to stay home and bitch about what might have been.

The races Sunday night were over around 9:30, that'd be around 2-1/2 hours for the show. I don't suppose around 2 inches of rain on Friday contributed anything to the track conditions which was the biggest reason for the length of the races Saturday and all of the red flags.

IF you aren't even attending, your opinion is worth NOTHING in my book!  Yes, the program was too long Saturday night, but a LOT of that time was due to torn up equipment unfortunately, and I would guess mother nature had some influence on the rough track as well.  I for one as a fan greatly appreciate the time, money and effort put forth to make the facility a better place for the racers and fans.  Give them some time to make some changes to become more efficient.

Bingo. It's great for the pockets of the teams. That's all I'm going to say.

That's not actually all I'm going to say. I have an Idea for Chuck. If you want to stay up really late and drink beer at the race track, just have a damn wheelie contest after the real races are over. Get the races over and get fans out that want out, and the rest can drink away while watching sprint cars do wheelies. Win, win.

People get over it at this tlime badlands on a weekly show is kicking Knoxville ass been to both places and the racing is just plain better at badland.

I am a Knoxville fan drive 6 hours twice a month to watch because there is no place like knoxville, but they got to pick up their game.

They are just plain getting  out promoted.

There pay is a lot better at badlands and don't tell me Knoxville can't pick up the pay for all 3 classes racing a 360 or 305 there is a joke you can't even take it out of the trailer for that.

If you thought the racing was good at Badlands last Saturday night, you don't know what good racing is. What was there, 16 cars running at the end of the A Feature?

I take it you weren't there thus your post means nothing.   20 cars finished the race........  Its about time you guys who are anti anything except Knoxville need to shake the sand out of your panties and settle down.    360 pays $2500 to win and $300 to start...what's Knoxville or Jackson's pay for 360's .....not even close.....

Say something positive about racing. If Knoxville is filled with negitive people like you I don't know why anyone would want to go to a Race there. Your doing Badlands a favor by not going.

its not a what if, thus shit hole has been tearing up cars and spitting them out forever. and now super chucky is raping everyone that walks thru the gates, with the prices he is charging, if no one can see that they drank to much of the chucky juice. when you have to buy drivers to race there that is pathetic. i have my right to my opinion and i said it. go to the capi 80 cars last year and i know i was not up till midnight listening to them. knoxville does not need to have grader races every saturday night. if ths fool wants to learn how to prep a track or take care of one, he should try and by the dunkins, o wait he would never get that job done. shit you go to boone for the super nationals they farm after every so many races with almost 900 cars racing during the week, the saturday night show last year was done around 11pm, and that is farming the track, i know they start earlier in the day but they have to. now before you get your panties stuff up your ass i know that boone is a door track, but they know how to run a program. now to knoxville anynight of the nationals is usally over before 11pm, with 50 to 60 cars qaulifying, a weekly show is hardley ever over after 1030 to 1100. that would be a bad night with wrecks, they know how to move a show along, they are not there to rape the fan. i said at the start i would never step foot in the shit hole after mr rock and roll bought it and i will stand by what i said. he is in this thing for 2 thinks his big ass ego and to rape the normal fan in the concessions, the 20 bucks to get in is begining to be the norm, so thro that out. it would be a cold day in hel that i would pay 5 bucks for a can of beer 9 bucks fornachos and meat, 5 bucks for a weekly program. do i need to go on. there are more fans that feel the same way i do but do not say anything. i am saying it.

i would rather go to an imca track and watch 50 cars in 5 classes race and be abke to afford to go and have fun than sit thru the circus he has made out of husets. then on to the rock and rolly gold cup who the hell in their right mind would paay the gate addmission he is charging, shit you can go to the nationals and t is cheaper that what that will cost.

to anybody that wants to go there and praise chucky go ahead you have way more damn money than i do, he is pricing the normal fan and familys right out of the racing scene. then to top it off not to let people go out after they paid for their tickets because they happened to forget something in their car or someone who has to go get their medicine, or a banket or coat for their kids. all this idiot is, is a greedy sob. with no reality in the real world and he is going to make racing better.

no thanks i will support tracks that trat the fans with respect and welcome them there.

and if anyone does not like the way i typed this or if i misselled any think i have 2 words for ya "suck it"

you can find me at worthington, rocky, jackson, slayton, fairmont and o ya knoxville when i go down there.

at least i know i can go and have fun and have the majority  of my paycheck left when i leave the track.

jim

First of all Knoxville started an hour earlier than Knoxville so just make sure you put that into your little trip calculation      Second of all, badlands had a Shit ton of rain and needed to use the grader twice and that's just the way it Is.    You have to remember that the dirt is much different up here than it is at Knoxville.  Chuck zitterich even tried to explain that about jacksons dirt compared to Knoxvilles dirt on a different thread.   Also I have seen different times where there's a hole in turn one at Knoxville and they stop everything to fix it with a grader and then put white chalk on turn one berm for everyone to see.   Shit happens.

Also....Jim you're a moron......am I the only one who didn't get the memo saying that Husets Badlands tears up cars and Knoxville doesn't??   What are you smokin?!?   Every track has one of those nights where it just seems to be a wreck fest.  i remember one night last year I think there were 8 or 9 red flags and about 18 tore up cars in all 3 classes at Knoxville in one night!   it happens. Was Knoxvilles track to blame?  NO!    .   I'm not trying to say that cars don't get wrecked at badlands, but to make it sound like they are so bad with wrecked cars and Knoxville isn't, is laughable.  But then again, most everything you spew Jim is, laughable.

Also.   Instead of spewing more jibberish about how you think chuck is "paying" everyone and their dog to come to badlands, why don't you put a name on it. Give us the name or names of your Sources.   i want specific names.  Cuz we all know your response will be:  "I've talked to a couple 'good' sources".           And not a word about the Rubin's.  They don't own the track anymore so no one cares what happened when they owned it.   Maybe you're right. Maybe Henderson, dobmeier, mccarls, Jeffrey, and McGillvray are getting something extra.  But Im thinking a business man isn't going to go tell anyone that, so I'm curious who you know that knows anything, or are you God, and you know everything??

Well the negativity goes both ways so ne need to bust my balls! I was there...indirectly....did the PPV. Was pretty sure at the last yellow as they passed that I counted 16 cars in the field. If I was wrong, I was wrong. Can't believe there was 20 410's running at the end though....... As for racing, I've spoken up when the racing is lack luster at Knoxville also. Funniest part of the whole deal is the PPV announcers at Knoxville and Badlands....both actually over boasting the action on the track and what's taking place currently to sell a dilluted product. Yeh, you read me....a dilluted product. That a solution to put the best 10-12 drivers and a field of 24-30 cars on the three tracks together (Knoxville, Badlands and Jackson) weekly didn't happen is bullshit, especially when we are talking probably the three deepest pockets for tracks in the country. We can do pissing contests all day long and it gets nobody anywhere. There must be a bunch of money anticipated to be made, when individuals will stick several million dollars in dirt tracks. And that's cool.....profits should be earned. I'm still certain that there is more money that can be directed at purses. But that's a mute point as long as the top drivers aren't competeing amongst themselves.

The key to PPV at Knoxville is too turn down the sound and listen to the guys on the radio station, they're funnier and more accurate.   No affront to Johnny Gibson but its like sometimes I wonder if he is at the same race as they are showing.

I agree with the diluted part. Without a B main its just racing and no drama. If I'm going to watch racing I prefer sprints but compared to when there were 40 cars in each class and on any given night Hesmer or Lasoski would have to figure a way out of the B- 20 great unbelievable cars can't do that and i can't pretend this is as good as it used to be. Everyone waited too long to control costs. Oops

Well there's something we agree on....Smile  JG does tend to stretch the action a bit at times....like how can two cars bang wheels when they are 3-4 car lengths apart? I know, he has a product to sell as well as announce, and he sells the product well. As for the Badlands and Knoxville announcers, both sets of guys do a good job, it's not their fault that they are in a sticky situation. And I think we can agree that it is a bit sticky right now. Regardless as to who is at fault.
