By Devin Mayo A threat of rain wouldn’t stop race fans and teams from attending the 7th round of the Pit Stop USA points paying race. The Pit Stop USA Sprint Cars had 21 cars enter in the pits and would have DJ Freitas set quick with a time of 12.989. A 3 heat race format saw Shane Myre, Bradely Terrell, and David Lindt pick up heat race victories. Terrell and Myre would start on the front row and lead the field to green. More would set the pace but soon would loose the lead as he would spin in turns 1 and 2. Terrell would take over command with Andy Forsberg in tow. As Terrell reached traffic, Forsberg would use a lapper as a pick and make the winning pass and would go onto win his first of the year at Petaluma with Terrell, Mike Benson, Billy Butler, and Riley Matson round out the top 5.
Petaluma Speedway will be dark for the Memorial Weekend but will return to action June 4th with the Winged 360, Spec Sprints, Super Stocks, Dwarfs, Mini Stocks. For more information, please visit http://www.petaluma-speedway.com
