This season Knoxville fans have been treated to four high quality shows and Super Chuck feels like it should be noted how quickly they have ran through the shows. 75+ cars each week and headed to the pits before 10:30? That is a solid program. The Dunkins have given the guys great tracks to run on and John McCoy and the boys should take a bow and know that their efforts are appreciated. Keep up the good work.
Super Chuck
PS--Odd seeing a positive post on Hoseheads, so don't turn this one into a dumpster fire.

You can thank Kendra for listening to the fans on that issue.

You must remember that there were no B mains last week, but they are trying to get shows over at a reasonable time.

I agree with everything but i might want to point out to Ford97 that the 305 A Main took less than 5 minutes to run and it was 15 laps. And would also like to point out if you take away the 305's you lose between 18 to 25 cars off the 75 car count.

I don't know if it's by design or not but there has been a variety of track surfaces each week so far this season. I for one kind of like it. Dry slick some nights nearing rubber down but never getting quite to that point and others being a bad fast tacky track. All have been extremely racy. This doesn't favor any specific driver and some certainly do better on different types of tracks. Props to track prep and to management for running the program straight through! Saturday's weather is looking great and it can't come soon enough.

Sorry Ford97, I completely agree with you about sprint cars being better than anything with fenders. My point was it seems like everytime the 305's have a bad night they get bashed. Its an entry level or hobby class. Im just afraid that it seems like Knoxville is trying to give the fans what they want which is good but if enough people always complain about one class Knoxville might just drop the class which would mean less sprint cars to watch

Make that FIVE awesome shows in a row. Easy for Super Chuck to forget how fortunate all of us are to have a race track that recognizes the importance of running an efficient show. Three classes, good racing, trip through the pits with the Baby Chucks, home by 11ish PM. Well done Knoxville.

I have never been to a Knoxville weekly racing event but have wanted to make it out there for quite some time. Can you give a guess as to what the fan attendance is for these weekly shows? Just a curiosity. (I know if varies from week to week I'm sure but just an average or guess?)

Last week Knoxville had very good attendance for a Saturday night, not including Outlaws or Nationals. If I had to guess I'd so close to 5k.... I can easily tell there are more kids in attendanec this year. Weather was perfect, 12 and under free, maybe a couple extra for the NSL, plus $1 Busch Light night.
Been attending for about 30 years now and it seems like these past couple of years attendance has been good.

Great to hear and great that they are investing in their future fans! (Although $1 Busch light seems steep LOL)
Thanks for the info.

It has been great. Only 1 problem, kill the 2 seater. They send it out when they interviewing people, talking to a sponsor and you can't hear any of it. If I was a sponsor like a couple weeks ago I would be pissed.
