Hopefully Mark Dobmeier with the WoO...
Fenders are like vacuums... they both suck.

take a look at some of your local young drivers who have parents with way too much money and no idea what to do with it. and yet have dreams that their inexperienced "young guns" may catch a break with the clean cut white boy look and get a call from nascar.
Now this isn't completely accurate, but it will provide you with more of an idea than you think. You don't really have to look at the cream of the crop in other sanctions. When you get right down to it....Hafertepe and Harry Potter weren't all that great with ascs. They don't have half the talent of a Wright or Johnson........BUT they have the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. And these days to compete with the dough Schatz, Saldana, and other operations are having thrown at them.......its money over talent. sadly.
How much would could a wouldchuck chuck if a

jealous...... Don't knock somebody if they have the chance to do something nobody else does. Its not all about money... it's about hard work and dedication. I have always read this board every day and came here to post for the first time when this post caught my eye. People like you annoy the crap out of me. Yes someones parents may have some dough, but don't knock a kid for trying. You obviously dont have a clue. And for "Harry Potter" and Hafertepe, until your on the road couped up in a toter home with 3-4 other guys for 200 some days out of the year, eating nothing but McDonalds everyday..... dont't tell me anyone who is trying atleast is spoiled. my 2 cents

Northern California has a bunch of kids coming from Outlaw carts. This year Alyssa Gevings has won 2 main events at Petaluma. Kyle Larson at 14 years old has also won there. I do not know what their parents financial position is nor does it matter. Shane Globic at 15 years old has won with and without the wing. Also won on the asphalt in a midget without top. Brad Terrell has a win at petaluma at 16 years old. The cart ranks are really turning out some fast kids here.

I heard something about Brad Sweet running for WoO rookie of the year in 2008, i don't know the truth to that though maybe rumors.. If he does he will be right there for rookie of the year providing he has a good ride.. Third place finish in the Gold Cup and a 3rd in the Gold Cup prelim pretty much proves that he can run with the outlaws..

I do agree with OKCFan that the $ really matters. But it has always been kinda that way but is just more so that way now. Not saying that the people with connections don't have the talent, just that a quite a few with more talent just don't get the breaks or have the $ to compete consistently. It's just the way of the world. Money talks, then you'll get the chance to prove it. Many Cup drivers have talked about people they once raced with that had unbelievable talent that never got the break.

So, by your theory Foster Landon should be running with the Outlaws, right?
