I live in Central Illinois and my local city has a 1/4 mile dirt track. We are surrounded by Jacksonville, Macon, Farmer City, Fairbury, Peoria and Spoon River
The biggest race we have had is WOO Late Models and we get the Flo NIght every year. We do get some sprints (Mowa) but I was curious on what the track promoter would have to do to get a WOO Sprint car race? What are the requirements?
I just know if we got a date we'd easily pack the place and itd be huge for the town

This is an interesting question and not easy to get an answer on. I know a fellow that works for World of Outlaws sort of. He sells tickets for events. He used to work for them full time and is a marketing professional. I got my tickets for WoO at Beaver Dam May 31 and June 1 from him. I aksed him how would Plymouth, WI (PDR) get a WoO event. He replied that the WoO looks at how many WoO events are in a state and a few other factors. It is unlikely they would add an event in Wisconsin he stated.
High Limit may be miore flexible but I don't know anyone there yet.
Road America sponsors a 410 IRA show. The IRA 410's come to Plymouth several times a year including their "Wisconsin Sprint Car Championship" on Saturday Sept 28.
It seems like the racing world is real tight lipped on many things unfortunately for us curious fans.

I thought his response was fine. However, if it annoyed you, just remember, there are worse responses on this forum:
Example 1:
Question: How do tracks get a WOO date?
Answer: Port Royal's track prep sucks
Example 2:
Question: Who do you think has the best chance of winning the WoO championship?
Answer: Razor Steve doesn't know what he's doing
Example 3:
Question: What is your favorite brand of frozen pizza?
Answer: Donny Schatz is no one without RW

I shared what I heard from someone I asked which is way more than you could do. Must be rough going life with your outlook on everything and few if any friends or ability to uunderstand complicated information.

Based on the town not listed, I presume you are talking about Lincoln. I'm gonna guess the Outlaws would want an upgrade of some of the fencing. I know Jacksonville has had to update a few things to get them to come in the last couple times. I don't know the sanction fee but safe to say it is in the 5 figures (10k, 20k - I don't know).
They did have a couple shows at Fairbury in 2018/19 but those honestly did not draw a fan count near as much as I thought they would. Both were weeknight shows tho so I imagine that was a big factor. Then it is is a matter of catching them in between 1 place to the other. Jacksonville works good this week cause they were in Knoxville IA last weekend (rained out) & on the way to Eldora this weekend. Kind of like a smaller concert venue catching a big name act in between 2 big shows. Doubt highly the outlaws would schedule a stand alone weekend at the Illinois tracks.
Lincoln did have the All Stars (RIP) a few years ago & it is a good venue. I would think they could pull a HIgh Limit show. I am also surprised the IRA doesn't do a couple southern swings in the spring/fall. They did do a show at Jacksonville several years ago but haven't in recent years. Like an IRA/MOWA combo in mid October would do real well I would think.

To get a new date with the Outlaws, first you're going to have to do a joint venture with them, the old days of them just giving a track a date in exchange for a fee are over for the most part. So I'd imagine they'd do more due diligence on seating capacity, safety, is it in a sprint car hotbed, will it hurt other tracks in the vicinity that have a long standing relationship with the WoO....etc

Every group has fools and if the shoes fits wear it.
Right now I'm told getting a HL show is easier than a WoO show.
